Chapter 24

In the middle of the road, inside the luxurious sports car, a man and a woman sat inside the car in silence.

Finally, after almost 30 minutes of ride, the two came to a halt in front of a what seemed to be a garden filled with different varieties of flowers.

Lisa gawked at the view even before she could step out of the car. From afar, she has long seen the beautiful blooming flowers from inside the car. She is sure she haven't been here all her life but somehow found familiarity in the place.

Jungkook saw this and could not help but feel soft at the sight of her charming smile that kept on getting bigger as they neared the entrance. He could literally see her eyes sparkling like a star burning flames deep within.

He unbuckled his seatbelt and immediately went out to go to her side. Like the rare gentleman he is, he opened the door for the woman who's completely entranced by the garden. He chuckled lightly.

"It's more beautiful if you're out," he said that instantly earned a glare from her but took his hand nonetheless. He helped her out before going inside the garden with her.

"Wow," muttered the adorable Lisa.

"Haven't been here before?" he asked. Guessing from the way she reacted, it's no doubt that this is her first time here.

Lisa shook her head, confirming his random guess. "Though, somehow, I find this place familiar. I just don't remember it well but I'm sure I haven't been here."

Looking around, she saw the large sign on the side. Written was the name of the place.

The garden of morning calm. A famous old, private garden which features the Korean horticulture. It was located in Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do.

That's when she recalled the story she had once heard from her Nanny Soo. The story of her mother and father. Nanny Soo told her that their first ever date was in the famous garden of morning calm. Since childhood, she's always curious about how her mother and father bloomed as one and she had Nanny Soo to always satisfy her curious little mind.

"The garden of morning calm," she uttered with a soft, dazzling smile completely showing her pearly whites.

Jungkook nodded at that as they walked inside. He heard her gasp audibly. It seems that Lisa loved flowers who can not help but feel giddy inside.

The Kim Lisa who's always guarded and distant was nowhere to be found at this point. He could see the pure happiness in her eyes as she gazed at the blooming flowers-the overall scenery.

It's like all this childishness she had kept back when she was just a child exploded in a bliss. She looked so carefree that it made people feel like protecting and doting on her. Because under that cold bitch attitude was the frail and fragile little girl whose helpless and defenseless in this cruel world.

Lisa, she matured at an early age. And it took her a lot of courage to build the person she is now.

"Oh my! Come on! Let's go to that side," she said all the while pointing at the direction and dragging him to where she was pertaining at. She didn't even realize herself holding hands with the man whom she thought was annoying most of the time.

Jungkook didn't mind it either. He just let the giddy woman drag him to wherever she wants just so he could prolong the excited smile plastered on her beautiful face.
