CHAPTER 25: Souls Promise

The next day, Minato visits Kakashi's house, along with Obito and Rin. Kakashi has recovered from yesterday's effects and just thought it would be temporary as he realized he fell for her at first sight. The four of them ran to the training grounds, Minato and Kakashi were tied while Obito and Rin were second and third but arrived at the same time, just different by a second.

The three 12-year-olds were covered in sweat, and Minato observed that simple training's made his reserve stronger, condensed, and larger.

Obito and Rin were relatively the same, the only difference was their physical strength. It increased by a little bit. Kakashi could easily take the AMBU test and even become the youngest captain in Konoha history, but Minato wouldn't advise it. AMBU breaks someone mentally and physically, he would be surprised if Kakashi could still stay this, happy.

Little did he know, the cause of Kakashi's fast growth was because his future and present chakra and soul merged. Chakra is made out of the energy of earth, but if mixed in with a heavenly soul it could become chakra and a weapon.

Souls, especially from the past can become a very powerful and useful weapon to the holder because of the knowledge it keeps. The soul could choose its owner or not, depending on its strength.

The soul is ranked in three towers, one is human, two is immortal, and three are angels or demons. However, even angels and demons have their own sets of hierarchy [A/N: Very original. I know It'll get better. Promise.]

His chakra and soul would have been even more powerful if Princeps agreed to merge with him. However, Princeps refused as he would merge when Emlyn merges with her reincarnate.

He didn't want to die first without Emlyn. Even so, he's not so cruel as to leave his reincarnation or holder mentally in pain. For example, that time when Kakashi managed to get a hold of the memories, he went insane with depression and sadness. Questions about his own identity often resurfaced.

This was one of the fears of Princeps, if Kakashi went insane he needed to use up all his mana, energy, power just to keep his holder sane.

He decided to seal up his memories, but it won't be powerful enough to keep them sealed forever. Just enough to stall his time. (Also because he just didn't want to talk or comfort him. He just felt like an absolute hypocrite doing so.) He wanted to wait until Emyln chooses to merge with her holder or reincarnation which she hasn't.

How he knew if she did or did not merge is because they could communicate with one another using natures or earths energy. They'll tell one another if they want to merge or not, and they'll do it together.

Anyways, after training, Minato decided to treat them out. Kakashi refused at first, saying that he was busy, but Minato knew he just wanted to read his extra copies of Jiraya's draft.

He pressed and pressured Kakashi to join them, in the end, he gave in. The four of them were covered in sweat as they walked together on the streets of Konoha. All three of them were happy, Kakashi just pretended to be happy.

He terribly wanted to read the drafts, but he can't risk getting caught by Minato. He might snitch on his dad since he might have been the ninja that reports to his father about his doings.

He found out about this possibility this morning when his sensei and teammates came to pick him up. As they ran, Kakashi was right beside him and he teased about scrubbing toilets to him. He formed a theory that it was him, so during spars he wanted to be the first candidate to spar against him.

He wanted to beat the crap out of Minato, angry at the likelihood that he was the snitch. Even though he knew he couldn't win, which he didn't, it was at least a good way to practice and vent out his anger.

However, as he was about to use a shadow clone jutsu to sneak off, he spotted familiar, long pink locks belonging to a certain girl. Sakura. She was eating at one of the Dango shops talking happily with his previous sensei Orochimaru.

Just like before, seeing her all the negative thoughts and emotions he had before, dispersed like magic.
