Surprises All Round

"Well, we have another singer on already, Austin kindly recommended his good friend, and also boyfriend to the lovely Scarlett we have just had on, Give it up for Knox everybody." Paxton and Austin cheer for Aleksei as he head towards the stage.

The opening notes to in my blood by Shawn Mendes starts and I raise my eyebrows towards Paxton. He just nods in response. And then Aleksei starts singing.

(I love Shawn Mendes voice so just imagine Aleksei like him)

I cant help but stare at my wonderful boyfriend up on stage, he is absolutely amazing, me, Keira and Odin look at each other in surprise while Austin and Paxton are still cheering for Aleksei.

I look over to Aleksei, he sends a wink my way, I blush, God, hell have an even bigger effect on me now.

I stand immediately as he finishes singing, cheering and clapping, I guess we both surprised each other tonight. He heads over and I cant help but jump on him in a cuddle, kissing him on the lips, he chuckles.

"That was amazing baby, who knew the bad boy could sing?" I say.

Kissing him again I drop back to the ground. We head back over to the table, Keira and Odin saying how much they shocked them.

Paxton and Austin just sit there looking very smug like there proud of knowing it before we did. Bad boys never change.

We have an amazing night, none of us are drunk though we are just having a good time with each other, nothing can ruin the way I feel right now.

A/N:

I wanted to give Aleksei a good voice too, and since I like Shaun Mendes' voice I figured I could imagine his like that.

"You little slut, so this is what you've been doing, I bet you're sleeping with all the guys here aren't you, you never learn" a voice slurs out. I cant help but cringe at the noise. I knew my mother came in here a lot, I hoped and prayed that she wouldnt tonight but here she is.

I see everyone at the tables heads snap the voice in confusion. Aleksei scowls immediately. He stands "I think you should leave; this is a night of celebration; we dont want anyone ruining it"

"What's to celebrate, that little slut" she points towards me. I lower my head in embarrassment. Everyone is now going to know about my mother.

"Yes, its her birthday, I dont know who the hell you are, but I think you should leave" Odin stands too, heading towards Aleksei.

I see everyone stand at the table, but I cannot move, I feel the tears filling up in my eyes.

"Oh yes, I see, I forgot my own daughters birthday again, HAHA"

I hear gasps around the table, and everyone looks at me, I know Aleksei was trying to avoid people knowing by not mentioning she was my mother.

"I think you should leave, Mrs St James, dont ruin this for Scar" Aleksei says, his voice is so calm, but I can feel the anger behind his words.

"Good idea boy" my mother says. Before I can react she's dragging me up by the hair and bringing her fist round to punch me in the stomach, people around the bar start to gasp at the sight but I cant concentrate on anything but the pain, I cant fight back I never have.

"Let her go" Aleksei shouts. Trying to reach me, but by now staff are around us trying to calm the situation.

"Mrs St James, leave the girl alone and leave the premises" a man says.

All the time my mother repeatedly pulling my hair and scratching at me, I can only try and cover myself so she doesn't do much damage, I know she will tire soon.

"Get her off her now" Aleksei shouts.

The staff are crowding around us now, all I can hear is my sobs, I feel someone grabbing my mother, holding her arms and someone else holding her legs so she cant do anymore damage, I can also feel someone trying to pry her fingers from my hair being careful not to pull from me anymore, I can hear sirens now.

They pry her fingers away and take her outside where I assume she will be arrested. Aleksei has rushed to me and is cradling me while I sob. Its not the worst she has ever done but its enough to show a glimpse of what I go through, and I never wanted anyone to know.

I can hear Keira crying, the sound muffled, I look up to see Austin comforting her, Paxton has his arm over Odin.

I look to Aleksei face while hes holding me, the pain in his eyes, "lets go, well go to mine baby"

I nod in response, the tears are finally drying but I cant speak just yet, I know I am going to have to explain everything to the guys soon.

The man who took my mother outside came back in "I hope you are okay, she's been taken to the police station now, Im sorry you had to go through that, we know it wasn't your fault, the police need your details love for the report, I told them to give you a minute" with a nod towards us he moves away.

We head to the door, the guys huddled around me silent, like they know I just need time but still want to show they are here for me.

I see my mother in the back of the police car now crying into her shoulder. The police officer spot us and heads over, "May I please speak to Scarlett"

I nod, grabbing Aleksei hand so he knows not to leave me. But the others move away to give us privacy.

"We've taken statements from the staff here and we also have the CCTV, we can clearly see it wasn't your fault love, but we do need to ask, from the way you reacted as soon as she came in, has this happened before?"

Aleksei squeezes my hand letting me know its time.

"Ye..yes, she is my mother, this happens on a regular basis. Its all Ive known for about 5 years at this point" Aleksei puts his arm around me "it has always been physical, Ive taken photos a few times but not for every time, i.. Im sorry do I have to do this now?"

"No, love, but we will need a written statement from you, and we will need to see these photos, we can talk at a later date, here is my card, if you will feel comfortable talking to me, if you dont thats absolutely fine, you can speak to anyone you wish to, I will leave you to your friends, stay safe."

Aleksei guides me towards the guys, I still cant look up at them, I feel so embarrassed about what happened.

A/N:

Mind the writing of the fight here, it was difficult to see where it could go, I wanted it to be sloppy anyway as her mother is obviously drunk. I'll welcome ideas to edit if anyone has any :)

So the next chapter will be my last one, I think I've done what I can with this story now :)
