Is The Secret Out?

I dropped Keira off at her house promising to be back in an hour to pick her up, I dread walking into the house because I don't want to see my mother.

The anxiety triples as I head up the pathway to the door, mum will be back by now if shes been out. I unlock the door and head in, the house is quiet so Im not sure where she is. I head upstairs to take a shower and get ready. I walk into my closet to pick out the extra outfit for tonight. It would have been better if Odin told us where we were going so we could pick the right outfit.

I rummage through my clothes to find a dress I haven't seen for a while, its a skater type dress with an open back, bow to tie just above the bum, I grab another pair of my fishnet tights and my black army boots with buckles on. I grab a pair of jeans and t-shirt just to go in, put my boots, tights and make up in a bag and get a hanger for my dress.

I head to the shower, checking the time first, I have about half an hour to shower and get ready to be at Keiras on time for six o clock.

I shower within ten minutes and get ready. I grab my bag and dress and head downstairs. Just as Im about to head out of the door my mum comes stumbling through it, drunk once again.

"Dont just stand there! Help me here" she slurs out, or tries to anyway, Ive been in this situation plenty of times to know what she is trying to say.

Ignoring her "Im heading out, Ill probably be staying at Keiras, so I wont be here tomorrow" I say.

"You little bitch! You wont be staying anywhere, wait till I get my hands on you!" she lunges forward and grabs my arm, she stumbled in the process so her gripped slipped. She sprawled out on the floor in front of me. I looked at her, shaking my head and turned away, I closed the door behind me. Im fed up with everything school/home, I just want it all to end.

A tear slips out and runs down my face, I quickly swipe as another falls, I shouldnt be crying about this, but it just gets too much sometimes. I walk down the street a little, still wiping my tears, I realise that Im actually outside Aleksei house. I look up towards his window to see that hes standing there watching me, I quickly wipe my cheeks so he cant see the tears. His face is etched with confusion. I can see Austin standing behind him with his back to us so he cant see the exchange. I hope Aleksei didnt see what happened with my mother his window is directly facing my front door. I see him lift his hand up slightly putting his thumb and forefinger into an O. I realise he is asking me if Im okay. I nod and smile a little. He nods in reply then sends a wink my way before turning to speak to Austin who was still oblivious to me being out here.

I arrived at Keiras right at six o clock, the door swung open like she knew I had arrived. "No need to come in Scar, Im ready" and the door closes behind her.

The tears by now have dried up, so Im hoping I dont look too red.

"Ooo I like the dress Scar, you havent worn that in a while, wherever we are going, you are going to look hot!" she says, I can feel the giddiness radiating off of her, I have to admit Im quite excited to know what Odin has planned.

We get to Odins door around ten past six. I knock on the door, we waited a few mins and the door opened, Michael Odins father answered it, "Evening girls, Odins in his room just go up" with a smile, hes lovely, he always makes sure we are all okay, Odin definitely takes after his father in the looks department.

We head upstairs to find Odin already dressed and doing his hair.

"You look nice Odin, so where are we going?" I say.

"Thank you Scar, ah ah youre not finding out until we get there. So, get your asses in here and get ready!" he laughs.

This isnt new to us, he does always make us wait until we get there for us to know what were doing, its just annoying, he knows me and Keira both hate surprises.

We close and lock his bedroom door, I set my bag down on his bed and place my dress over his closet door. Taking out my makeup, boots and tights. I take off my shoes and jeans and place them in my bag, yes Odins still in here, weve gotten used to getting changed in front of each other now. I put on my fishnets and get my dress, taking my top off, I pull on the dress, carefully tying the bow at the back and putting on my boots, Keira is also in her dress, no tights and heels, her dress is a lovely deep red colour, tight but not too tight, just hugging her body perfect.

We both head to the mirror, we always let each other do our make-up so we can surprise one another.

I go into her bag and get everything I need out.

By the time we are both done, we make sure we both look okay, then as usual get Odins opinion before seeing for ourselves. We both turn to Odin his eyes flicker up from his phone and back down, then he does a double take on us, eyes widening "Wow, you little hotties, you barely look like yourselves."

We laugh and turn our heads back to the mirror, Im shocked to see what Keira has done for me, I have a smoky eye look, cat eyeliner and bright red lips. My mouth hangs open at the sight, I look over to Keira to see the same expression on her face, without even realising we both have done very similar looks, I just gave Keira the double eyeliner look. We smile at each other through the mirror.

"Right then girls, get what you need, we need to get going, its already eight thirty and we needed to be there like ten minutes ago."

Keira looks just as confused as I am, we cant be this dressy for a movie and its pretty late to be going to eat.

We head out and Odin goes down to ask his father to drop us off, before we can get there his dad is nodding and smiling, so he definitely knows where were going and that we dont know. Jennifer, Odins mum, smiles at us on the way down "well dont you both look lovely girls, have a great time!" waving us off as we go to the car.

About ten minutes into the drive Odin starts to fidget, this is how we know we are getting close, but as I look around outside I see we are in the richer side of town, thats just full of houses so Im not sure whats happening.

We pull up to the side and I see a house filled with lights, I can feel the music already through the car doors, looking towards the front entrance I see that there is quite a few people here, lounging all over the garden, drinks in their hands, some are dancing.

Odin brought us to a party! No wonder he was so nervous, we tend to steer clear of parties, really just to avoid any hassle. I look round towards Odin and he seems petrified. Bless him.

"Come on then, lets get this over with" I say. I see him breath out a sigh of relief.

We get out of the car waving goodbye to Michael and head up towards the party.
