Amano

"You have everything you need?"
Thayne looked at me, and nodded. I felt my heart drop, and my wings stretched in response to the sudden stress.
"And you think you've found the people that are willing to help you with this plan?"
He nodded again, but before I could question him further he propped his elbows on the table,
"Yes, you know that girl in my battle training class who can like create knives and stuff with her own blood or others?"
I nodded, shivering slightly.
She's terrifying, who would WILLINGLY use others main source of life just to create something to take more lives, and ENJOY it?...
Thayne smiled at me,
"She agreed to help me out with my plans as long as I made sure her family wasn't hurt in the process."
I hummed in response.
Maybe she's not so evil if she's worried for her family...
Thayne suddenly pulled out a sheet of paper, sliding it towards me. I looked at the many names scribbled down,
"These are the names of the people I recruited."
I frowned,
"How is there so many people..."
Thayne shrugged, smiling,
"Not entirely sure, but hey it helps me a ton."
I looked away from him and read through the names.
Emma Ichika, that makes sense though considering she literally shares this dorm with Thayne and the other two that live here. Alison Maboroshi, isn't that the new girl who's freakishly strong?
I stretched my wings again, and I looked at Thayne,
"Alison?"
Thayne nodded,
"Yeah that new girl in my classes, she's almost as smart as Emma, but I think she might be stronger than even me, so I just HAD to recruit her."
He frowned slightly,
"I swear that girl is hiding something..."
I nodded in agreement, not really listening anymore as I continued reading the list of names.
Synthia Mizuki, one of Emma's friends, she must have joined because Emma told her about what was happening. Izzy Yugen, she'd be handy for hiding things since her curio is based on invisibility... Taylor Shinigami, Jaz Kuragari, Alexis Genso, and Arrow Nariko...
I felt like throwing up, I wanted to throw the table over, and cry. I wanted to be angry, sad, and disappointed all at the same time, but I couldn't bring myself to do anything. I looked at Thayne letting out a shaky breath,
"So does this mean, I really only have two weeks?..."
Thayne frowned a little, hesitating a sudden flash of guilt crossing his face.
"Yes."

He's lying to you.

I looked him straight in the eyes, this time being more stern with my voice,
"Are you lying to me?"
He looked away slightly, hesitating again,
"No."

He's lying to you, you only have a week.

I felt frustrated with him, and I sighed,
"Okay, I'm going to see what Melody is up to."
He nodded, and he stood up,
"Do you by chance know if she wants to be a villain or a hero?"
I paused before leaving the dorm, turning to face him.
If I tell him I don't know, he'll try to convince her to join his team. I just hope she wants to be a hero like myself.
I let out another shaky breath, looking him dead in the eyes,
"She wants to be a hero."
He frowned at this statement,
"What's her curio?"
I shrugged,
"Well her wings indicate she won't be of use to you, her curio isn't even at a Creationist level."
He groaned,
"Damn, alright off you go then."
I could feel him staring into my back as I left the dormitory, closing the door behind me.

He lied to you, but you continued to speak the truth.

Mel wants to be a hero?

She always has, always will.

I let out a sigh of relief,
"Thank goodness."
I spread my wings and quickly soared into the sky, heading for my dormitory.

You're not actually seeing Mel are you?

No, she's probably busy meeting her roommates and what not, I don't feel like interrupting her.

Let's just say her roommate is a little... Intense.

I frowned at this statement, quickly swerving around another student that was heading for the lobby.
Okay, who's her roommate, they're not a villain are they?

Let's just say her roommate only joins the side that'll benefit her the most, say they offer her protection, gems, and food, she'll go for that side over a side that say only offers her gems.

Gems? What's so important about gems?

She's Draconic.

I nearly halted to a stop in shock, my wings quickly recovering.
WAIT WHAT?!

Yeah, one of the rarest species known to intellectual-kind.

But there's only like three students in this ENTIRE SCHOOL that are Draconic!

Exactly.

That's insane that Melody gets a chance to actually meet with one.

Do recall that I said this Draconic was a little intense.

Aren't they all?

Fair enough.

What about you? Are you a Draconic?

No, I wish I was.

What are you then?

I can't answer that unfortunately, since that could jeopardize the timeline.

I sighed,
"Yeah... The timeline..."

I wish I could tell you more but-

It would jeopardize the timeline, I know.

... Yeah...

I quickly swerved around the corner and landed on the Landing Zone, folding my wings back tightly.

"Hey Esmeray!"
I stopped walking, and quickly turned towards the source of the voice. I smiled at the familiar face,
"Hey there Mel!"
She smiled back,
"You won't believe who my roommate is!"
I laughed,
"Oh yeah? Try me."
I watched as she smiled brightly from excitement,
"She's a Draconic!"
I pretended to look shocked,
"Really? That's super cool, I'm pretty sure there's only three Draconics in this entire school!"
She nodded,
"Yeah, and my roommate is one of them!"
I laughed brightly,
"That again is pretty cool, so what are you doing out here instead of chatting with her?"
There's only one female Draconic in this school and that's Sapphire Draconic, the shape shifter.
I felt my heart sink a little, wondering how Sapphire hasn't ripped Melody to shreds yet.
"Well she's a little introverted in my opinion, she didn't want me to bother her so I left to try and find you, or maybe Miss Angelica to hang out with."
I laughed,
"Miss Angelica is always too busy, I wouldn't suggest EVER bothering her unless SHE bothers you."
Mel nodded at this statement, smiling at me again,
"Well I got you at least!"
I nodded,
"Yeah, I think I should show you where your classrooms will be since classes will be starting again Tuesday."
I shuffled my wings slightly, as she replied to me,
"Yeah that sounds good to me, lead the way Esmeray!"
I smiled and quickly flew into the sky,
"Do try to keep up!"
She smiled at me nervously,
"Um I highly doubt I will, but I'll try!"
I laughed as she quickly flew next to me,
"It's alright it's not like I'm in a race or anything, don't need you collapsing from exhaustion!"
She smiled and nodded, and she handed over her time table.
"Alright I'll just show you your classes in order from first class of the day to last, since that'll help with memorization for where the hell you're going!"
She nodded again, and I quickly flew with her to the first class she had in the day. Battle Training.
