(CASPERS POV)

Simon followed me into my apartment nagging me about how this was a bad idea as his words rolled off my back.

"Simon shut up and pick something for me to wear." I said walking into the bathroom. I applied some eyeliner and mascara and called it good enough. He handed me a black Lacey skirt that was short but not slutty short. I grabbed a grey tank top and tucked it in. I slid on my black converse and quickly straightened my hair.

"You look great." He said crossing his arms and pouting.

"Why do you look so angry? Do you need a diaper and a bottle?" I asked patting his head.

"Because I still feel like this is a bad idea." He said sounding exasperated.

"What is wrong with you! Why can't you just be happy for me." I screamed getting frustrated.

"That's not why and you know it! You were in a fist fight with him just the other day." He shouted back.

"Whatever, screw you Simon." I stormed out of my own apartment him coming out behind and slamming the door. I went out the back and he went out of the front. I walked to the movies which was right down the street as Simons truck sped off. I walked down the side of the road steaming which isn't a good way to start a date.

I walked into the theater looking for him when what I saw was him yes but he was with a big group of people. They all started laughing and snapping pictures. I pushed passed them and approached him.

"You, are a low life moron and I'm going to frickin beat you. The whole crowd of people cooed waiting for one of us to make the next move. His face was covered in terror as I brought my fist back and laid him a good one. I heard a crack and his nose started gushing. I kicked him as hard as I could in the shin and he fell to the ground holding his nose with one hand and hugging his shin to his chest with the other. He scowled at me and I gave him the finger.

"How many times do we have to do this for you to figure out you are nothing compared to me." I growled. I started walking away but he grabbed my ankle sending me to the ground, hard. I landed with a thud but brought my leg back kicking him in the ribs.

"I'm gonna get you for that." He moaned gasping for air.

"Don't you ever touch me again. Ever." I said in a deadly quiet tone. I walked out of the theater aware of people video taping me as I left. This was happening frequently with this guy. I waited until I was far enough away to start crying. I really should have listened to Simon, he was right.

"Hey are you alright?" A somewhat familiar voice asked. I turned around quickly wiping the tears away.

"Um yeah I'm fine." I must have not sounded very convincing because the person walked up next to me.

"I'm Dawson by the way. I go to your school." Wow this guy is actually pretty popular and talking to none other than me.

"Hi, I'm Casper." I said. He stuck his hand out and I shook it.

"I saw what happened back there. Those guys can be jerks." He said trying to comfort me which I didn't want him to do.

"Yeah but can I ask you something?" I asked. He nodded and I continued with my question, "you're popular and you're talking to me. Why is that exactly." He looked down at the ground.

"I'm not that popular just cause I'm on the football team." He mumbled.

"Yeah right, now answer my question." I giggled.

"I'm not full of it just cause I'm popular, I've actually been trying to work up the courage to talk to you." He admitted smiling.

"Why I'm not that bad." I said. He looked at me like I was crazy.

"Reason one did you not see what you just did. And two because I get nervous talking to pretty girls."

"Really? Where is she I don't see anyone." I said looking around. He laughed pushing his fudge brown hair out of his diamond colored eyes.

"I'm talking about you silly. And I wanted to talk to you so I could ask you on a date." I bit my lip.

"Did YOU not just see what happened in there. He asked me on a date and than humiliated me in front of all those people." I said getting angry again. He put his hand on my shoulder.

"I'm not like him. And I would never do that to you, or to any girl for that matter." He grabbed my hands and squeezed.

"Fine." I sighed but than smiled. "But just so you know I'm not good with people so you have to be patient with me. And if you are messing me well let's just say I'm not afraid to go ninja on you." I laughed for what feels like the first time in forever.

"I'll call you my dead rose." He said kissing my cheek. "Can I walk you home?"

"No it's fine I live right here so you already did." I laughed. He smiled and waved goodbye before continuing on his way. I walked into the building and up the steps. Sitting at the top was Simon twiddling with his thumbs. When he saw me he stood up and hugged me.

"I'm sorry, I overreacted and I should have been a better friend." He apologized. I laughed and pulled away.

"No I'm sorry, you were right. He did exactly what you said he would." I admitted. He followed me into the apartment and I explained everything from our fight to what happened with Dawson.

"That's great! He seems nice for a foot ball player. He's the only one that hasn't shoved my head in the toilet." We laughed and he left shortly after that leaving me on my own. I went to sleep and didn't wake up till ten the next morning.
