Every Dead Rose

Chapter 8

(CASPERS POV)

Dawson picked me up the next morning with a dead rose. Wow who would of thought a football player actually had a heart. I put it into a vase and hopped into his car with him.

"So where are we going?" Hopefully he's forget it was a surprise and I could figure out before we get there. He smirked at me from the corner of his mouth.

"It's a surprise I can't tell you Ya sneak." We drove for fifteen more minutes talking about random stuff when we pulled up to the aquarium.

"Oh my gosh! I haven't been here since I was five." I thought back to when we were still a family when we took a trip here. That was one of the best memories I've had. He grinned.

"That's great" He led me into the building. The first place I wanted to go were the jellyfish.

We walked in and we peered through the glass.

"Why do they have all those thing a ma jobs?" I asked pointing at the fish.

"I have no idea, defense mechanism maybe?" He replied staring at the fish. I smiled and we went to the sharks. it had jaws as an entrance and it was dark except for some red lights. We walked through and he snaked his arm around me. I leaned into him and rapped my arm around his side.

A shark came up and banged against the glass causing me to jump back. He laughed and took my hand.

"You alright there?" He grinned and I slapped his arm playfully.

"It scared me!" I laughed. He smiled and started swinging our arms. We than continued to the sea horse area. We sat down and I put my head on his shoulder.

"They're really pretty aren't they? Look at the purple and blue one." I laughed at his silliness. He smiled cheekily.

"You're such a girl Ya doof." He grabbed my waist standing up and swinging me around. "Ahh put me down you crazy." I started laughing and he put me down so I was right in front of him.

"You have really pretty eyes." He whispered. I blushed. "You know I'd really like to kiss you." He added. I leaned in and he kissed me. I pulled away and tapped his nose.

"That's all you get." I teased as he pouted. I grabbed his hand and he led me to the cafeteria area. I got a piece of pizza and he got a burger. We found a empty table and sat down next to each other.

"Do you want to hear something funny?" He asked taking a bite of his burger.

"Humor me." He smiled.

"A aquarium, that's trying to save endangered types of fish, is serving sushi." He laughed.

"Aquariums are weird. It's almost like cannibalism in a way." He nodded.

"Yeah it doesn't make much sense does it. Like their kind of failing at their jobs in a way."

"Yeah! It's totally weird and hypocritical." He finished his burger and waited for me to finish my pizza while he told me how much he hated some of the guys on the team.

"He's such a jerk, he goes around and makes fun of all the kids who aren't you know, that popular and than the other guys are just plain stupid. Hell is anyone home in that small brain of yours?" I laughed as we walked back to the car.

"Do they ever say anything about me?" I asked still laughing. He looked at me and kissed my forehead. That answered for him so I didn't press for answers. "I had a really great time today." I changed the subject.

"Me to. I'm taking you to the movies on Tuesday." He told me.

"What movie will we be seeing?" I asked.

"That is a surprise, my dear friend, you shall have to wait." I pouted and we continued in conversation until he dropped me off at my house.
