CASPER'S POV

I set my phone down after texting Simon and set it on my desk. I guess I'd have to have my movie marathon on my own. I flipped the TV on and the news appeared.

"Forty year old woman murdered by husband after both were drunk. Husband sentenced to death and the daughter and son have gone missing." My eyes widened as I remembered this was from years ago when my parents committed the crime. I rubbed my eyes and looked up to see the TV wasn't even on. Its probably just my PTSD I was diagnosed with a couple years ago.

I went to the kitchen forgetting about the movie and grabbed a Coke out of the fridge. I've never been able to find my brother and I was curious to see what's happened to him. Jasper was my twin brother and he was really weird. He always kept to himself and he hated our parents although I don't blame him. He only ever bonded with his girlfriend Allison and that was good enough for me. We did run away together but we went our separate ways at the train station. I had no intention of waiting for the police to show up and send me to foster care since I was only 16 at the time. But they can't do anything about it now because I'm 18 and legally an adult.

I met Simon when I was 17 and he quickly gained my trust unlike anyone else. I lived in Mississippi but I left after my parents died. I was curious as to where Jasper went and if he was still with Allison.

My phone buzzed and I headed back to my room. The message was from an unknown number so I quickly opened it.

'Hey sis.'

My face paled and i stared at it until it ringed again.

'We need to talk, where are u?' I typed in a quick message

'Mississippi, meet me at a resteraunt called Sam's tomorrow at 2 pm'

'Don't you have school?'

'School doesn't matter I'll just ditch'

'That's the sister I know'

'I have to go, see you tomorrow'

'Bye'

I quickly dialed in Simons number and he answered on the third ring. There was some mumbling and than he spoke.

"Yes? Why must you interrupt my sleep." I looked at the time and realized it was 12 at night.

"My brother just texted me and were meeting tomorrow." I told him with my voice on edge.

"I'll be right over." Was all he said before he hung up. I started chewing my nail out of nerves, a bad habit of mine.

About fifteen minutes later he arrived and came in plopping on the couch. I followed and sat down next to him.

"So what did he say?" He asked. I handed him my phone with the message.

"I'm nervous about seeing him. I don't know what he's like now or if he's messed up. Like I got the PTSD so I don't know..." I trailed off.

"Do you want me to come? I could sit in a different booth and just make sure he doesn't hurt you." I sighed.

"If you don't mind. I'll rid my motorcycle so that we don't raise suspicion."

"Ok I'll ditch with you." I smiled and grabbed a pillow and blanket for him. He set up on the couch and I sat next to him flipping on a movie.

When it finished he was asleep so I went to my room and fell asleep quickly considering the time. My worries fleeing for now.
