(CASPER'S POV)
"I bet I can guess what you're afraid of." Simon said looking through his folder for his math homework. We were sat in our math class before the other students got there while they were socializing in the hallway.
"Oh yeah and what would that be?" I asked drawing spongebob on the desk with a black sharpie I borrowed, ok stole from the teacher. Ironic isn't it.
"You, my deer friend are afraid of falling in love. You're afraid of letting people in." I avoided eye contact and fidgeted in my seat.
"It doesn't take genius to figure that out. Especially after what happened with my family." I snapped at him. He looked up from his folder pulling out a sheet of notes. He knew not to take it personally so he simply shrugged it off.
"I'm sorry you know I wasn't talking about that. But you don't have any friends but me and the teachers ha-"
"Don't you dare finish that sentence." I said menacingly. He must have known he was getting me angry because he stopped talking. I closed the sharpie and slid it into my pocket. I pulled out my homework and wrote down some random answers so that the teacher would think I actually did the work. I added some extra numbers to make it look like I took the time to figure out the answers.
All the students had filed in and were chatting making a slight buzz to the room. I ran my hand through my real hair and glared at Darren. After what he did to my bike he is on my permanent bad side.
After class finished we all ran out of the classroom eager to get to second hour. The day went on slowly making me cranky and irritable. I wish Simon luck when it came to sitting next to me in the car. Sixth hour finally came to an end and everyone practically ran out of the building. Everyone had plans for tonight considering it was Friday and we are teens. The movies sounds about right. I followed Simon back to his truck and who else do we find sitting in the bed of his truck but Darren.
"What do you want Darren?" I scowled stopping in front of him as he jumped down.
"I was thinking maybe you would want to go on a date with me tonight?" He asked. I stood there shocked for a minute but than realization strooke me.
"What so you can make fun of me to all your friends? No thanks as fun as that sounds." I said angrily. He pulled me away from Simon.
"Please, I promise that's not it. You're tougher than most girls and pretty." I thought about it.
"Fine but if you're lying, I will hurt you." I turned on my heel and jumped into the truck waving bye. He stared in shock as Simon pulled out and drove us back to my apartment. I have a date to prepare for.
