"Right, so we've established that you have a history with dragons," Hiccup thought aloud. They were currently all sitting in the arena where apparently Hiccup had set up a dragon training school.

"I take it that it was a good history, based on how you reacted with Toothless," Hiccup continued.

"Why wouldn't it have been a good history?" Ingrid asked. She was sitting on the floor next to the night-coloured dragon.

"Most people outside of Berk tend to have a... bad relationship with dragons, to put it nicely," Hiccup explained.

"Even Berk was at odds with the dragons until this guy came along and proved that humans and dragons could co-exist," Astrid nudged Hiccup in the stomach.

"I bet we could co exist, Ingy," Snotlout said, still ogling at her, "Can I call you Ingy?"

The bright red Monstrous Nightmare lit its tail on fire and smacked Snotlout across the room into the wall.

"Hookfang!" Snotlout cried, smouldering a little.

"Hookfang, is it?" Ingrid asked, rubbing Hookfang's chin.

"Yep, and that's Stormfly, Meatlug, and Barf and Belch," Hiccup listed.

"Which one's which?" Ingrid asked, eyeing Barf and Belch, the twin-headed Zippleback.

"Nobody knows," Astrid replied.

"I don't think the twins even know," Fishlegs added as they watched Ruffnut and Tuffnut playing with a Terrible Terror. Whether they were chasing it or it was chasing them, nobody could tell.

"OK, here's what I'm thinking," Fishlegs said, "If Ingrid examines and interacts with our dragons, perhaps one of them will spark a core memory in her mind and she might remember something."

"That was exactly what I was thinking," Hiccup said, then turned to Ingrid.

"Well? Anything jog your memory?" he asked.

Ingrid looked around.

"I just have this feeling that Terrible Terrors were generally considered quite pesky."

"Well that's a bit of a no-brainer," Astrid commented as she watched a couple of Terrors swarm Tuffnut and bite his ears.

Ingrid turned to Hookfang.

"Monstrous Nightmares... I don't really remember anything," Ingrid said.

"What?!" Snotlout cried, "How can you not remember the Monstrous Nightmare? The coolest dragon in the sky? The King of all holy dragons? The-"

"Flaming Snotmare?" Astrid teased.

"Hey!" Snotlout yelled.

Ingrid walked over to Stormfly, who appeared a little jumpy at the sight of a stranger but soon calmed down when Ingrid gave her a little chin scratch. She rubbed her hand over the sensitive part of Stormfly's scalp, to which the blue dragon shot a singular spine and knocked Snotlout's helmet right off his head.

"Hey, my helmet!" he cried.

Ingrid ripped the spine out of the helmet and stared at it.

"I used to have a dagger made of a Nadder spine, but I lost it when... I forget..." Ingrid trailed off.

"No worries, you'll remember eventually," Hiccup reassured her.

Ingrid analysed both Meatlug and Barf and Belch, but alas she couldn't remember anything.

"So, if she can't remember anything by looking at our dragons..." Fishlegs started.

"Then we may have to show her it," Hiccup finished.

"What?!" Astrid yelled, "No way! Did I not remind you about Heather?"

"We'll be careful," Hiccup replied, "We've learned our lesson. We won't show her anything of Bork's, just the Book. Some of the Book. You can trust us, Astrid."

"But can you trust her?" Astrid asked, pointing her axe at Ingrid.

"Can't we?" Hiccup asked.

"Alright, but don't blame me if she tries anything," Astrid huffed.

"Um," Ingrid chimed in, "Listen, I don't know who this "Heather" person is, but for what it's worth, I have absolutely no ill intentions whatsoever towards you or your dragons. I just want to restore my memories and... have somewhere safe to stay the night."

"Don't worry, we trust you," Hiccup replied.

"For now," Astrid muttered.
