Night had fallen by the time Hiccup had finally suggested that they all go back home.
"OK, Ingrid," Hiccup said, "you can have my bed tonight, I'll sleep downstairs on the..."
He trailed off when he saw Ingrid staring out of his window, her face bearing a noticeable frown.
"I'm sure Aurora will be alright," Hiccup reassured her.
Ingrid didn't reply. Her eyes were fixed on the stars.
"We'll go out searching for her first thing in the morning," Hiccup said, "But for now, you need to rest. You've had a long day."
Ingrid still didn't move.
"H-Hello, Ingrid?" Hiccup asked, moving over to where she was standing.
"Is that..." Ingrid pointed to a faint green wisp in the sky which seemed to be getting brighter by the second.
"Arvendales Fire," Hiccup breathed, "But we weren't due for..."
"Hiccup," Ingrid asked, turning to him, "does Berk have a source of glowing algae?"
"...I think I know where Aurora might be," Hiccup responded.
