-002- Sick

Your POV
You were skipping towards the playground as usual. Hoping to see Takemichi there.

When you reached there, you only see Kakucho sitting on the swings.

"Ohayo Kaku-chan!" You waved at him as he turned his head towards the familiar female voice.

"Where's Take-chan?" You questioned him. He shrugged his shoulders. Strange, Takemichi would be here first everyday.

Maybe he is just busy?

But he wouldn't be going anywhere today.

It's getting cloudy. Probably going to rain soon. You should go check up on Takemichi first before heading home.

"You know what?" Kakucho tilted his head in confusion. "Let's go to his house."

You dragged him towards Takemichi's house. Yup his shoes are here.

You knocked on the door.

"What a surprise! Hello (Name)-chan! Oh and you brought Kakucho!" Takemichi's mother greeted the both of you.

"Where is Takemichi?"

"Oh sweetheart, that poor child got a small fever. He is getting better though."

"Oh I see. We shall not disturb him then."

"No, come in. It's going to rain soon. Besides you can keep Takemichi company. I'm sure he would be happy to see you two!"

No way you could reject her offer. She is one of your favourite adult you ever met.

You both took off your shoes and put it near the other shoes.

"You can go to his room and visit him. I'll bring you both some apples to eat."

You both nodded your heads and bowed a bit to thank her.

That woman is such a sweetheart.

Knocking on the door softly, you turned the doorknob and opened Takemichi's door.

There, laying on bed, a sick Takemichi has been seen.

Poor guy.

"Take-chan~!" You ran up to his bed.

"E-Eh?! (Name)-chan?! A-And Kaku-chan.."

"We came to visit you." Kakucho spoke.

"Don't come so near me. I'm sick."

"Whatever Take-chan."

Suddenly loud thunder was heard from outside. You all flinched by the sudden noise.

"Man it's raining a lot right now." You stared outside the window while watching the raindrops flow down on the window surface like they are having a race.

You were just watching which raindrop would win.

Kakucho was just talking to Takemichi.

"Here are your apples!" Takemichi's motther came in and placed the bowl of sliced apples on the coffee table.

"None for you sweetie, you're sick." Takemichi sulked under his blanket.

After hanging out, the rain finally stopped. You stared at the pretty clouds.

You were admiring at how pretty the clouds were until Kakucho shook your shoulder from behind.

"(Name)-chan, Take-chan is heating up."

What. You ran towards Takemichi and put your hand on his forehead. It was burning up more than just now but not so serious.

The white blood cells in his body is fighting hard.

"Get his mother now." You ordered Kakucho. "But she left minutes ago.."

This coincidence is really bad timed.

"Okay, uh..." You were starting to get worried.

"Watch over him! I'm gonna get something!" You shouted while you ran to his closet and get a towel. You ran to the bathroom and made the towel wet.

Afterwards you squeezed it and ran back to the two boys.

"Kaku-chan! Wipe him with this towel!" He did as told and you ran to get another towel.

You opened the fridge and grabbed some ice. Wrapping the ice with the towel and making a knot to make an ice bag.

You ran back to Takemichi's room and put bag of ice on his head.

"Kaku-chan! Where did his mom go?!" You were starting to panic.

"She said that s-she was going to the neighbour's house!"

"Go look for her! I'll look after Take-chan in the mean time!"

He nodded hesitantly and ran out of the room.

"(Name)-chan..? I-I don't... feel so g-good.."

"Please hang in there! Kaku-chan is getting your mom!"

After around 2 minutes, you heard the sounds of shouting downstairs. The next thing you knew, his mom bashed into the room.

You backed away to give her access to her son.

"C'mon sweetie I'm bringing you to the doctor."

The doctor gave him some medicine after the check up.

"Take-chan, you have to eat this!" You forcefully shove it near his mouth.

"B-But it's yucky! Kaku-chan!" His face was basicly screaming for help. Kakucho tried to avoid his gaze.

Takemichi felt himself shattering into a million pieces.

"Woi! You still gotta take it! Or else I won't visit you anymore!" Takemichi had teary eyes when he finally ate the medicine.

You can see his soul leaving his body.

Kakucho and you decided to leave since it's getting late. You both headed the same way.

"I will drop you off at your house first since my house is more far away." Kakucho stated.

He walked you home and bid farewell to you.
