Chapter 11: Police Detail

A brand new day. It was a quarter past six, and Street was suddenly awaken by the sound of the bathroom door closing. Well, at least he didn't slam it this time!

He didn't want to wake up but the sound of his cellphone vibrating was soooo annoying...he just wanted to stay under the covers for a little longer. Can't a guy have a couple more minutes?

"I'm going, I'm going" he said slowly, extremely annoyed. He grabbed his cellphone from the night stand without looking at it, clicked randomly on the screen.

"I knew you were gonna be asleep...lazy ass!" she finished with a giggle.

GASP!

Street immediately moved the sheets and straightened up in bed. What an awesome surprise! Chris was only given a couple of minutes last night to video conference with him and Rubio, but he wasn't expecting a second call so quickly.

"Babe!" he called excitingly

 "Get up, sleepy head!" she said grinning

She looks so hot! He thought as he felt certain body parts light up in fire. He couldn't help it, he always woke up with 'extra energy'.

"Yeah, I'm hot, I know" she giggled again

How did she do that? "Wait! How did you.." he began but noticed there was some type of guard standing to her far right

"You always wake up...um.." she didn't need to finish, he knew. She raced an eyebrow, but said nothing.

" You know I reeeally miss you right now?"

"Yeah, you and your rocket!" she gave out a soft laugh

They giggled for a moment.

"You look beautiful today...I really hate waking up alone."

"Yeah, especially in my bed." she added

"Our. Bed." he pointed out

She was left speechless. She just pinched her lips and nodded, grinning.

"LOL! How did you wake up, my love? Feeling ready?" he asked

She sighed. "I don't know. Real nervous."

"Why? You know you're gonna kick ass, right?" he paused as she bowed her head with a smile, "I'm so proud of you"

"Heard what the Assistant Chief told you yesterday. He was pretty tough on you, huh?"

"Luca" he said rolling his eyes. Truth is he didn't really mind. He understood why Johnson had been really strong on him. "Babe, you have no idea how proud I am. Like...I'm walking on clouds right now!"

She frowned speechless.

"You have no idea how cool it is to go around saying you got the baddest chick in all of LA. Having all those hot shots bowing to you, calling you Captain, leader. Wow!"

"Street" she began, as she shook her head slowly grinning from ear to ear, "program hasn't even started. I haven't even taken the sergeant's exam"

"So? I know you'll do great, hon. I just know it. You're gonna set records everywhere you go. You're destined for greatness!"

Street noticed her eyes, as they become somewhat of a reddish color, and she began to blush.

"I don't deserve all that." she said slowly
