Izumi's mother had told the young woman that she couldn't dress up in her usual attire when visiting a theatre. Izumi had looked at her black ripped jeans, the black tee and the zip hoodie on her body and had looked at her mother.

"Why not?", asked Izumi. "My outfit looks casual and chic. One can never go wrong with black." Shinobu cocked an eyebrow and crossed her arms in front of her chest. "Your father and I don't comment on your type of style, but you have to be a bit more formal for a theatre, love" she spoke and Izumi sighed.

"What should I wear then?", she asked her mother—annoyance dripping from her voice. Shinobu just glanced at her and shook her head before she walked to her own bedroom. Izumi followed her mother. "Let's take a look, shall we?", asked Shinobu and Izumi shook her shoulders.

Her mother opened her own wardrobe and looked through the various of dresses she owned. From flowy, light summer dresses, to thick winter dresses made from wool or thicker material. Shinobu had dresses for every occasion; formal, casual-chic and even extravaganza. You want something, ask Miya Shinobu before buying a dress.

"You probably want something black, that fits your whole vibe" Shinobu mumbled and Izumi nodded. "I mean I have to wear black as Elphaba as well" she sassed and her mother only rolled her eyes. "Very funny, Izu-chan" she said and took a clothing hook of the rack and pulled the dress out of the wardrobe.

"Wow, I haven't worn this dress for ages" Shinobu gasped, "I probably wore this when I was twenty-five to thirty. So closer to your age. It would look silly on me now" the woman spoke and held the dress towards her daughter.

In her mothers hand was a poofy black dress with several layers of tulle and a square neckline. It had poofy sleeves and was overall balloon like. It looked like a princess dress. "I used to live in this dress" Shinobu confessed. "I wore it to concerts, festivals, dates and the theatre. I even wore this when I met your dad for the first time." Shinobu looked at the dress fondly before handing it to her daughter.

"But I think it's time this tulle monster gets a new master. Someone who's in the right age to wear it" Shinobu smiled. "Try it on" she said and Izumi nodded, holding the dress in her hands before stripping out of her denim-t-shirt combo and putting on the dress.

Shinobu helped her daughter in zipping the back of the dress and Izumi gasped when she looked into the mirror. Her long black hair fell onto her shoulders while the dress made her look like a fluffy fairy princess.

"This dress is gorgeous, Mum!", breathed Izumi and Shinobu chuckled. "Told you" she said. "You can wear this to the theatre. You're going to take everyones breath away." Shinobu gently kissed Izumi's temple and watched Izumi take a look at her reflection.
