Everyone was here. Me and Charlie. Mike and Mr Teavee. Veruca and Mr Salt. Violet and Mrs Beauregarde. And Augustus and Mrs Gloop.
"Daddy, I want to go in!" Veruca exclaimed.
"Little brat." I thought to myself.
"It's o:59, sweetheart." Mr Salt told her.
"Make time go faster She demanded.
Once it hit 10 o'clock, the gates began to open and Willy Wonka's voice was heard through the speakers.
"Please enter!" Willy Wonka's voice rang, so we did.
"Come forward!" He ordered, so we did.
"Close the gates." He said and then the gates began to close by themselves again.
"Dear visitors, it is my great pleasure to welcome you to my humble factory. Who am I? Well..." Willy Wonka said.
Heavy metal doors opened and a curtain rises behind them to reveal puppets and the began singing, whilst 'dancing'.
♫ Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka,
The amazing chocolatier,
Willy Wonka, Willy Wonka,
Everybody give a cheer- Hooray! ♫
At the end of the song, a gold and red throne rose from the floor. It had a golden 'W' embroidered on the cushions, so we can only assume that someone important was supposed to be sitting on it to make a grand entrance.
However, the chair remained empty throughout the performance.
Then, sparklers started going off and they managed to catch the puppets on fire.
After a few seconds, the music died down and the puppets were melting.
"Wasn't that magnificent? I was getting a little worried it was sort of dodgy in the middle part, but then, that finale! Wow!" A man at the end of the line said, smiling and clapping.
Everyone we t silent and then Violet said, "Who are you?" whilst chewing her gum.
"He's Willy Wonka!" I exclaimed in excitement and then it goes silent again.
Willy Wonka examines all of us and then spoke up, "Good morning, star shine. The earth says hello."
As soon as he realised that none of us reacted the way he wanted, he pulled out cue cards from his inside pocket and began reading them out loud.
"Dear guests, greetings! Welcome to the factory! I shake you warmly by the hand. My name is Willy Wonka."
"Then shouldn't you be up there?" Veruca asked, pointing to the throne.
"Well, I couldn't very well watch the show from up there, now, could I, little girl?" He replied, plainly.
"Mr. Wonka, I don't know if you remember my grandpa, he I used to work in your factory!" I reminded him.
"Was he one of those despicable spies who every day tried to steal my life's work and sell it to those parasitic copycat candymaking cads?" He questioned, seeming agitated.
"No, sir." I said and his frown turned into a smile.
"Then wonderful! Welcome back! Let's get a move on, kids!"
We then proceeded to walk into the factory and the big metal doors closed behind us, leaving the crowd behind the gate, in suspense.
