Sonics POV

The next day we went to court to testify against Lacey Andrews. Wade said that she was a real cold hearted person and he wasn't actually kidding she is literally a real cold hearted. She stood in the trial with no lawyer. Me, Tom, Wade, Maddie, and everyone else actually support Julie. The judge called Tom to the stand and asked, "Sheriff? What made Andrew change his mind?" Tom said, "Well we didn't actually expect it but Mr. Andrew supported his daughter when someone allowed him to see the light and the error of his wife's ways. That someone is Flarelight." Mr. Andrews said, "It's true. She actually opened my eyes. She said to me that I shouldn't care whether or not my child is gay. The only thing I should care about if she's happy and loved..." Lacey interrupted rudely as she banged her hands on the desk, "YOU ARE ACTUALLY TAKING THAT DISGUSTING RATS ADVICE!? SHE IS DISGRACE IN FACT SHE WAS ALWAYS A DISGRACE!! A DISGUSTING AND USELESS DISGRACE!!" Everyone gasped in shock. Every single person glared at her in anger and disgust. I stepped up and said, "Your honor. I like to say something to the defendant." Lacey rolled her eyes and said, "I am not listening to this space...." the judge banged his gabble and said, "He clearly has something to say to you. I'll allow it." I thanked him before Lacey said, "You think your words will affect me? My daughter is a worthless disgrace cause of that creature." I said to her with a stern and slightly serious tone, "Well that 'creature' cares and has been there for Julie more than you ever could. You never ever show love towards her. Not even once. You hardly been there for her at all. Your husband waited until the day you stopped but you never did. What you did was unforgivable, knowing what they will do to her there. You showed everyone in Greenhills how heartless you really are. You shoulda been in jail a long time ago but your husband spared you but not this time. Your daughter chose to be gay. Not because of the girl who was there for her. To Julie she is the one thing you didn't ever bother to give her. A sister. Her name is Rika Flora and she's Julies best friend and she's mine too. You are not worthy of calling yourself a mother if you can't show you care or love her." Everyone muttered to each other in agreement and that shocked Lacey. That's when she said, "What the heck is wrong with you people?! Harold do some..." Mr. Andrew bellowed, "DO NOT TALK TO ME!!!" He then said, "He's right and you know it. I have been patient with you but what you did to Julie was low. You don't deserve to call yourself a mother. I shoulda put you in jail a long time ago but no I loved you so much I had to spare you. But not anymore. I am filing for divorce Lacey. You are not the woman I fell in love with all those years ago." It took like a few hours until the jury deliberated the verdict. The judge asked, "Has the jury reached a verdict?" One of the jury said, "We have your honor. We the jury find Lacey T. Andrews guilty of all charges. May the lord have mercy on her as she slowly spends her days in jail." The judge then said, "Very well. Lacey you are here by sentenced to life in prison." Tom then said, "Take her away boys." A few cops took Lacey away in a police car which made everyone relieved. Even I was relieved. But not as relieved as Mr. Andrews over there. Though it reminded me of something. I asked Mr. Andrews where Rika is and he replied, "She's with Julie at the hospital. You can go see her if you want." I nodded and thanked him before speeding off.

Tom's POV

After Sonic speeded off to the hospital, I spoke with Mr. Andrews and he told me he's planing on adopting Rika. He then said, "It was all I can do for her. After what she is done for my little girl plus like I said. Julie always wanted a sister and Rika made it happen. I only wish Lacey wasn't so cold." I said, "Will you be alright?" He said, "Yes sheriff. I thank you for what you done." I replied, "Hey we're neighbors and friends it's what we do."
