You hissed is anger at the heavy suitcase that you had been dragging up three flights of stairs now with tears in your eyes. Arriving in front of the apartment door you dropped your bag down with an audible 'thud' as you began to knock. The door swung open as you leaped into warm arms letting it all out hearing the sigh of your best friend who was most likely plotting murder right now.
"Men *sniff* are trash *sniff sniff* I can't believe I liked him."
"I didn't." He said making you let out a laugh as you slapped his arm making his lip twitch in amusement.
"He was such a jerk and he told me that he only dated me because he thought I was going to sleep with him."
"Please tell me you hurt him." He asked as a dark, sadistic smirk formed on your face.
"You know I hurt him."
"Good. Then why are you crying?"
"I'm just mad and embarrassed, I misjudged his character and let him fool me." You said clenching your fists.
"It happens Y/N, we just gotta let it help us when it comes to the next person we meet."
"Thanks Sasuke."
"You're welcome and you could stay with me till you find another solution."
"Wait how did you-?"
"Your suitcase."
"Ah I see."
"Come on." He said picking your bag up
"Were you cooking?" You asked only now noticing the dish cloth on his shoulder.
"Yeah I just got the lasagna in the oven."
"Can I help?" You asked peeping in the oven to see the cheese not yet melted.
"You can check it from time to time most of the other parts are done you seem to have gotten lucky."
"Yeah no grating cheese for me thank you." You said playfully wiping imaginary sweat from your forehead. "Your hair has gotten long." You said playfully flicking a part of his hair that now sat just long enough to brush his shoulders every now and again.
"I don't really feel like cutting it."
"Yeah hopefully you'll stop getting ducks flying into your window now." You said earning a dishcloth to your face.
The rest of the evening you two spend watching shows and snacking on various savoury snacks since Sasuke didn't have a liking for sweet things.
"Tell me have you heard from that over protective best friend of yours yet?"
"Sasori?"
"Yeah."
"He's back in Suna for a bit with his granny but he'll be back in no time."
"So...would you ever wanna go back home?"
"I know what you're really asking Sasuke and if you want to go to spend sometime at your parents house maybe even just for the weekend you should. Don't let anything hold you back from seeing them as often as possible. Whatever sour conversation you last had with your father is probably over now, you're his son and he can't stay mad at you for long." He shook his head laughing as he leaned on your shoulder.
"Thanks, I needed that."
"You're welcome, now you're gonna explain the extra pair of orange sneakers that I know you don't own?" His face just went red following his ears.
