The air smelt crisp and clean complimenting the beautiful scenery. Itachi smiled at you as you stared in awe at the beautiful rainbow above you while carrying Aiko who decided it was a good time to try and figure out the colours.
"Red- No blue! And that's Pink- no that's Red!" Aiko cheered.
"Yes that's blue and that's red!" You cheered along with her as you both did a little dance. Making Itachi feel weird. He had never expected you to get along with Aiko so well. Though you two did get along the very first time you both met it was still very unreal. You were a bratty college student with a bad attitude who somehow seemed to spark something into his life he didn't know he was missing. Maybe it was the company or probably the playful banter, he wasn't so sure he disliked that side of you. In fact he was sure he was supposed to teach you to control that sharp tongue, but for some reason he didn't quite mind your snappy remarks. You ignited his soul in a pretty strange way and weird enough he liked it.
"Hmm... I can't find anything." Your voice snapped him out of his thoughts.
"Pardon?"
"You we're looking into the distance so I assumed you had seen something." You playfully remarked making him let out an amused sigh shaking his head.
"You don't like to give it a rest do you."
"My mother said I had no chill from the time I left the womb so perhaps I've always been like this." You proudly said lifting your nose in the air.
"Hn, perhaps." He muttered but you knew it was playful.
"You gonna keep flirting or are we going to go into the store?" Sasuke asked raising a brow.
"Oh please that was a completely normal conversation." You reassured as Itachi agreed reluctantly hoping Sasuke would drop the idea.
"Ladies and gentlemen the home of the books." You announced as a few passers by just looked at you weirdly.
"Yes I am aware but didn't you have a whole argument backed about how you supported enemies to lovers so where is it?" Itachi provoked making you turn around and narrow your eyes.
"Oh you'll see..." You said striding over to the shelves with Aiko still in your arms as you pulled out a book that you knew would make anyone cry. A story about a village and a man who swore to protect it but at the cost of his own clan and how he suffers a deadly disease eventually finding help at the hands of his enemy, the only woman who knew his secrets.
"Okay usually I would say wow but why are you trying to make my brother cry?" Sasuke questioned.
"It's a beautiful book." You backed nonchalantly.
"I'll read it." Itachi finally answered giving you a challenging look.
"Oh you think you can handle this book." You questioned.
