AJAX SCANNED THE prison, his hands bound by metal as the bodyguards dragged him to his fate. His sky blue eyes skimmed over towards two men who looked familiar. Anger and hatred rose up in him, and before he knew it, he wrestled away from their grasp and pushed them away, rendering them unconscious as their heads hit the brick walls. Swiftly, Ajax grabbed Scaramouche by the collar and demanded ferociously, "How did you know about her?!"

When there was no response, he gritted his teeth and barked. "Tell me now, Scaramouche !"

"It wasn't us! It was the old lady, Childe! I swear!" Scaramouche shouted back, pushing on the bars and out of Adora's grip.

"Old lady..." Ajax murmured, remembering what he saw of the hooded lady. As the images flashed in his mind, he was once again apprehended by the guards as they ignored her protests. "Wait! No! Wait! You don't understand, she's in trouble! Wait!"

"(Y/N), WHAT'S GOING on up there?" Signora asked as she climbed up the stairs to (Y/n)'s room. It wasn't like her to miss supper, especially if it was hazelnut soup. There was silence. "(Y/n), are you alright?" She gingerly opened the door, the mahogany creaking from old age. Her gaze shifted to the young girl sitting on the floor, muttering in shock.

  "I'm the lost princess..."

It couldn't be... how did she find out? "(Y/n), stop with the mumbling!" Signora pathetically spat, trying to deny the truth. "You know I hate it!"

"Did I mumble, mother?" (Y/n) spat angrily, glaring up at Signora. She stiffened, shocked by such defiance. "Or should I even call you that?"

There was a painfully uncomfortable silence. Signora's tongue was tied and she couldn't form any sentences in her mind right now.

"It was you!" (Y/n) accused, moving further down the stairs. "It was all you!"

"I did it to protect you!" Signora found herself raising her voice at (Y/n). "The world is selfish and cruel!"

(Y/n) pushed Signora away as she advanced nearer. "(Y/n)!" She called out after (Y/n).

(Y/n) stopped and her she balled her fists, voice dangerously low and dripping with bitterness "I've spent my entire life hiding from people who would use me for my power..."

  "(Y/n)—" Signora's body stiffened.

"...But I should have been hiding... from you!" (Y/n) exclaimed, glaring back at Signora.

Signora was rendered speechless before remembering something, she felt a wicked smirk come to her lips as she came to the realization. "But where would you go, that floozy won't be here for you,"

(Y/n) turned her head, eyes wide with shock before demanding ferociously. So it was all part of her mother's lies too... on how Ajax left her when she actually loved her.

"What did you do to him?" (Y/n) barked, fists clenched tightly.

"That criminal is to be hanged for his crimes..." signora revealed, glaring down at (Y/n).

(Y/n) let out a sharp gasp as she stumbled backward, whispering in shock from the revelation. It can't be true... but how many lies did Signora tell her? "No..."

"Now, now... it's alright," Signora cooed, reaching out a hand to pet (Y/n). "All of this is as it should be..." (Y/n) felt her body stiffen and recoil before she instinctively grabbed Gothel's hand.

"No!" (Y/n) shouted as she shook her head, voice firm and angered, finally unable to take Gothel's deception and lies any longer. "You were wrong about the world! And you were wrong about me!"

As Signora tried to wrestle free, (Y/n) snarled, "And I will never let you use my hair again!" As Mother Signora finally broke free from her grasp, she stumbled back.

As (Y/n) walked away, Signora finally spoke up, her voice dangerously dark. "You want me to be the bad guy?" She let out a little maniacal cackle, causing (Y/n)'s body to stiffen and her throat to feel dry. "Well then, that's fine... Now I'm the bad guy..."

AJAX THRASHED AROUND helplessly as the guards dragged him to his death. He looked around frantically for an escape before noticing a ceramic window perched on the window. Could it be? No, it isn't possible! How did they know when they weren't there? He snapped back to reality as the sound of wooden doors slammed to a shut.

"What's this?" The captain demanded ferociously before pounding on the door. "Open up!"

"What's the password?" A voice asked as Ajax strained her ears, recognizing it as Bennett's.

"What?" The captain raised an eyebrow.

  "Nope," Bennett  smiled.

"Open this door!" The captain yelled aggressively.

  "Not even close,"

"You have three seconds..." As the captain began to count, Ajax felt the guards' strong grips disappear and heard doors creak open before being slammed shut again.

"Three!" When he stopped counting, Ajax was without any escorts and the halls were deserted. In the state of confusion, Charles rendered the man unconscious with the hit of a frying pan.

"Frying pans, who knew, right?" Adora managed to say as Charles unchained her, unsure of what was going on now. The sound of wood breaking apart caused her to run as quickly as she could.

Ajax's heart pounded as he tried to outrun the guards. Ajax stopped for a moment to breathe, finally losing track of them. However, voices rang in his ears, realizing she was outnumbered.

Venti lifted him up and placed him on a wooden contraption.

  "Head down," Venti advised.

"Head down," Ajax repeated, doing the same instructions.

  "Arms in,"

  "Arms in!"

  "Knees apart!"

"Knees apart!" As Ajax spread his knees apart, he raised an eyebrow. "Wait, what?" And with that, the contraption catapulted he into the sky. He soared through the air, letting out a scream before landing on the back of Razor.

"Oh," Ajax finally said in realization as she sat on the guard horse. "Razor ," he placed a hand over his heart as a sign of gratitude. "You brought them here?"

  Razor neighed in response.

"Thank you," Razor bobbed his head, pointing to the other side of the bridge as if to tell him to leave now.

"No, really. Thank you." Ajax began to awkwardly thank Razor. "Uh. I feel maybe this whole time we've just been misunderstanding one another, and we're really just — huh—"

The angry voices broke Ajax's train of thought and he finally decided, "Yeah, you're right, we should go."
