Chapter 5

Maddie-

I woke up in my bed and smiled.

I met and hung out with the world's biggest boy band yesterday!

I also realized that I had to go to work today.

I work at Starbucks and I love my job because I'm surrounded by coffee and sugar!

White girl status: high.

I yawned and headed towards my bathroom to take a shower. I stripped off my clothing and stopped at my mirror.

I'm a mess.

I stopped looking at myself and started the water.

As soon as the water heated up, I hopped into the shower.

The warm water covered my body and it felt like nothing mattered.

I dried myself off and dressed into my uniform for work. I grabbed my jacket and headed outside to my car.

As soon as arrived, I looked into the cafe and it was packed.

We never had this many customers.

Never.

Ever.

I walked inside and saw Niall.

Wow!!! Surprise of my life!!!

"Niall?" I asked.

"Maddie?" Niall spun around and engulfed me in a massive hug.

We both just stood there and were laughing and hugging.

"I missed you so much!" Niall exclaimed.

Woah there bucko, it hasn't even been a full twenty-four hours.

"So you work here?" He asked me.

No, I just like to be here for seven hours each day and wear the uniform.

I nodded, "Yeah, I needed the money to pay for rent."

"Yeah, I understand. That's how it was before I became, well, famous."

"Niall, it was great seeing you, but I really need to get to work." I frown.

"Actually... I can let you get off of work if you want!" Niall exclaimed.

Do I still get paid though?

I stood there in a shocked state. "Niall! I can't believe you can do that for me! Thank you." I said.

"Now Maddie, would you like to spend today with me?" Niall asked.

No, I'd rather sit at home and watch Netflix but I nodded my head up and down anyway.

"C'mon! Let's go talk to your boss, so we can get out of here!"
