Chapter 20 Part Three

Niall-

After driving for four hours, we still about an hour and a half.

Damn, why does it take so long to get there?

I snuck a peek over at Maddie and saw here curled up in her seat asleep. I turned the music down to a dull roar and focused back on the road and kept on driving,

It's moments like these that make me remember all of the things me and Maddie overcame in our relationship. We had Austin and then Austin coming back, but that's all over now.

I don't think I've cried as much as I did in these past four years.

After remembering those harder times, I focus on the amazing times.

Meeting all of the girls.

Hanging out the first time.

Going to the beach.

Giving Maddie her promise ring.

I glanced over at the hand resting on Maddie's thigh and saw the silver band on her ring finger.

I quietly hum along to the song that was playing.

Harry-

Still an hour away from our destination and Zayn and Jocelyn passed out, leaves you a little bored.

"Kerry, can you turn the radio up,'' I looked around and saw everyone else looking bored too. "Please?"

"Fine," She answered back. "Because if I don't, I'll never hear the end of it." She placed a hand on the volume knob and turned it up.

"I freakin' love this song!" I heard Jocelyn yell from the back. "Turn it up, this my jam!"

Kerry laughed and turned it up more.

I saw Zayn wake up and suddenly perk up. Apparently, he knows this song too.

We are the ones that flirt a disaster,

On your ass, we'll pounce like a panther,

Cut the bullshit out with a dagger,

"Yeah! Go Kerry!" Louis cheered.

The girls started singing the chorus as it played again.

Jocelyn and Lauren stopped singing right before the last note, so Kerry sang the last note alone without knowing.

"Warrior, -rior!"

"Holy fuck." I muttered underneath my breath.

About an hour later, we arrived at our destination. We all scrambled to get out of the car and stretch. I got my phone from the back pocket in my trousers and rang Niall.

"Hey Niall, she asleep?" I asked.

"Yeah, completely knocked out, but hurry up. You never know when she'll wake."

"So, how far away are ya?"

"About an hour or so, but if ya need more time-"

"No, that's perfect!" I cutoff. "We've just arrived and everyone is getting everything set up, so if anything goes wrong, we'll still be right in time."

"That's good, but don't jinx it. Hey, I need to go now. She's stirring a little. Bye, see you soon!"

"Bye!" I ended and hung up. I put my phone back in my pocket and said, "Let's get to work people!"

Maddie-

As soon as I woke up I heard Niall on the phone saying, "Bye, see you soon!" and then hanging up.

I yawned and said, "Who was that?"

"Oh, just Harry. Checking up on us." He replied monotonously.

"Oh, okay." I shrugged just as my stomach growled. Looks like I have the rumblies in my tumbly.

I heard Niall talking, but I zoned out until I heard him shout, "UNICORN!" and point to the window.

And of course, being the gullible person I am, shot my head towards the window and pressed my nose against the glass, only to be brought to the disappointment of no unicorn outside my window.

I turned back to Niall and stuck my lower lip out, "Asshole." I pouted.

"I only did that to get your attention and now that I have it, I'm suggesting we go to an Italian restaurant nearby." He looked straight on the road, but still having my full attention.

"But how do you know about an Italian restaurant nearby?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Um... Let's just say, I've been around here a lot." He said and took a sharp right.

(A Hour Later)

Back in the car we go.

Yay.

Can you sense my enthusiasm because I can't.

I sighed and hopped back in the seat. "Hey, don't worry," Niall lifted up my chin. "We're almost there. About a half an hour."

I slowly returned an okay and slumped back into my seat, humming an old tune.

Niall-

As soon as Maddie turned her head, I picked my phone up and texted Harry.

'We'll be there in 25 mins. Be ready. -Niall :D'

After I send it, I get an instant response from Harry:

'Yeah, we're ready and can't wait! See you soon! -Haz ;)'

I smiled to myself and thought, 'This is going to be perfect and I'll make sure it is.'

Quietly singing along to the new Miley Cyrus song, I knew that this is going to be one hell of a night.
