The Newest Addition

*November 9th, 2:11 p.m.*

Everyone had gone on a mission a week ago, and it was nearly time for them to be back. Oluo and Petra, who stayed behind to watch over her, stood with the girl, waiting for the soldiers to return.

"Mama Dada here?" She asked Petra, her head tilting.

"They should be here any minute." Petra responded, adjusting the girl on her hip and waited for the doors to open. And when they did, Mathilda's eyes never left the crowd. Petra started to worry when she didn't see either boy at first, until she saw Eren and Armin coming in as some of the last few.

Apparently, Mathilda's eyes found her parents' right after Petra. She squirmed and whined to get to them, so she set her down. The brunette girl ran, crying as she approached them. Armin was first to see her, and he crouched down with his arms open.

"Mommy! Mommy!" She cried, crocodile tears falling down her face before she even reached him. Once she embraced him, she buried her face into his cloak's hood and cried her little heart out. Armin hugged her tight and pressed a ton of kisses to her face.

"Hi, babygirl! Oh, I missed you so much." Armin whispered to her and kissed her cheek. He pulled her back and wiped her tears from her face.

She then spotted Eren behind him, immediately shooting her arms out to him. He picked her up into his arms, causing her to cry again. This time, however, she didn't let go when he tried to pull her back and see her face. So, Armin walked around to check on her, and saw that she was crying and clinging on to him. He kissed her head and pet her hair, making her look up at him.

"Daddy?" She asked. He hummed, but she asked no question.

"Mommy?"

"Yes, baby?"

She was quiet, still not saying anything, and instead laid back on Eren's shoulder. Her eyes were shut and she held tightly onto his shirt.

"Miss you. Wuv you." She mumbled. Eren smiled and laid his head on top of hers.

"I missed you too, babygirl. We missed you very much. I love you, mamas."

"I love you, angel." Armin whispered to her, leaning against Eren's back and keeping eye contact with her. But she sat up quickly, making grabby hands for Armin. He chuckled and took her from Eren, letting the brunette rest his head on his shoulder to look at her. They were still for a minute or two before the girl smiled.

"I wan cuddle." She told them. They chuckled and nodded.

"Of course, mamas." Eren told her, giving her another kiss on her hair before she made Armin set her down. She held both of their hands and directed them to the common room, making them chuckle. While Eren and Mathilda found a place to sit, Armin found a book from the shelf.

Armin sat on the couch, snug against the arm rest. The girl crawled into his lap and Eren sat right next to him; thigh to thigh.

Armin began to read to the two, and it took awhile before he noticed that the two had the same exact facial expression. Both of them were leaning on him. Their cheeks puffed out, eyes focused on the item he held in his hands. Speaking of eyes, both of theirs were lidded heavily from how tired the two were.

He chuckled and continued, looking at their faces every few minutes. Eventually, Mathilda began to fall asleep, as did Eren. Armin chuckled and shook Eren's shoulders gently.

"I can't carry you up to the room like her, so you've got to get up." Armin joked, kissing his head and running fingers through his long hair. Eren sat up, and took Mathilda into his arms to help Armin stand up from the couch. They walked up the stairs and into their room for a nap.
