                   "Unfamiliar"

The bright sunlight burned hotly through the boys closed lids as he attempted to shield them with his arm, the tender muscles rejected the sudden movement to sore to lift over his throbbing head. Through the fog of sleep the boy could vaguely smell the morning dew as he shifted uncomfortably, a large rock had wedged itself in the small of his back making him wince in pain. Large crystal like orbs struggled to open, flaking away the dried tears from the night prior, he squinted trying to adjust to the offending rays of day that pierced the pale shade of blue. His body protested as he slowly began to lift himself up, propping onto an uprooted tree trying to find balance as the sleep started to replace itself with awareness.

It took a few moments for him to gather enough strength to lift his head to access his surroundings. His neck creaked as it shifted around taking in the unfamiliar field of wild flowers. They were vast and reached until the edge of the forest, there was every color imaginable and for a moment he forgot that he was alone in a place he didn't know. The healthy green grass added contrast to the beautiful flowers that lay resting against the boys thighs thighs, he reached down to stroke the petal of a purple periwinkle. It danced under his fingers feeling lost when he pulled his hand away.

He ran his small dainty fingers through his brown fluffy fringe causing it to disaray in all directions. He lets out a soft contented sigh finally allowing himself to breath in the crisp and fresh clean air. His muscles loosened the tension from sleeping on the hard ground expanding and stretching high above his head. He looked up hesitantly to the sky finding a mist layering thickly in the air, it smothered him and made his skin feel dewy and sticky.

Mornings had never felt like this one and for once in his life a calm had settled within him, it was uneasy being alone but comforting being alone in a place that felt so familiar to him, as if he had somehow been there before.

Suddenly distracted by a faint smell the boy inhales sharply closing his eyes in concentration. A dark forest travels deep surrounding the field like a fish bowl and as he breaths in he can smell every inch of it, the dirt the trees and... his breathing was caught suddenly when his nose found a rich delicious smell that made his nose twitch. His blood began pumping through his prominent veins, making them bulge through his pale mark-less skin.

His eyes turned into a bright fluorescent blue, his pupils dilating to heighten his sense of sight. He focuses on the sounds around him sniffing the air trying to feel the heartbeat of the forest until finally the predator within finds what he's been seeking.

He can no longer feel the clear mind he had once before but the beast inside growls predatorily his bones crack and shifts under his thickening skin. White fur seemed to appear mysteriously upon his once hairless body. Hunger forces its enlarged paws to pound hard against the forest floor. The once happy feel of the sky becomes frightening with the sound of the beasts thunderous steps. Its nails dig into the dirt making the flowers fly disheveled behind his fast approaching form.

It doesn't take long till a small ball of fur turns its attention towards the menacing form that seems to have zipped its way through the field like a moth to a flame seemingly knowing of its every move. The rabbit's immediate response is to run but the initial shock is too much for the small creature to take causing its mind to scatter in a heap of emotions. Its heart beat seems to thump with the sound of the beast's steps hard and fast approaching, all sense of direction had suddenly jumbled together causing it to take off swiftly and unknowingly toward its own death.

The chase had only just begun but had no sooner ended when the small fluff of white was forced into a trapped like structure of rocks. With the beast approaching quickly the rabbit reared for his life and the life of his small family hidden deeply within the wall made of rock. He could run into the rock but was afraid the beast may follow him inside. The beast shows no remorse nor retaliation for the whimpering animal in front of him. If anything the smell of fear the small animal emits strikes pure excitement to course through the predators racing heart forcing it to leap forward without a moments hesitation for the boys once conscious mind had been lost within this beasts instincts.

The fragile rabbit didn't have long enough to cry out till large teeth were being embedded into its pure white fur, covering it into a tainted red that smeared onto the wolfs large jaw locked muscle, and with the rabbits last breath its eyes stare off longingly towards his home seeing the eyes of his family staring back into his own vacant ones.

The wolf no sooner finishes the minimum proportioned meal subsiding the wolfs hunger and allowing his human side to take form once again.

The wolf had returned back into the furthest depths of the boys mind leaving nothing behind but a confused shaking boy. The boy looks up with uneasiness and not at all prepared to come face to face with the sorrowful eyes of an innocent rabbit. The contraction of fear and longing still lived within the rabbits lifeless eyes. The boy choked out a sob as his own mournful eyes looked at the bloody scene he had caused unwillingly.

Dropping onto his knees forgetting about the cuts he's received from the rocks beneath him. The Small fragile boy pets whats left of the rabbit in comfort for his own sake though nothing could cure him of the filth of thick innocent blood coating his mournful mouth.

The boy pays respect for the creature, tears falling pitifully allowing loud choked sobs to bounce off every edge of the forest echoing it back for his own ears to hear. Reliving his pain every time it returns to him. His loud sobs muffle the sounds of the ruffling leaves beside him. He's unaware of his surroundings and the monster that is stalking his hunched form. A shadow of black was approaching quickly and placed a thick hand onto his shoulder causing a frightened screech to rip through his scratchy throat.

"Hey hey. Its okay i'm not gonna hurt you I promise. What are you doing here?" The voice was dark and gravily but seems to ease the boys fearful tremors.

The boy doesn't reply which worries the seemingly normal man that stands proud and tall in front of the crouched messy child.

"Its okay now. Everything is going to be alright, my name is Michael, Alpha of the Warrior Pack. I'm going to take you to my pack house and you will never have to be alone again you will no longer be rogue but apart of my pack. Or should I say our pack." The shadow masked face forces a gentle hand towards the boy. "You will never be alone again" the voice repeats in his mind though the boy doesn't know it now the man giving him a helpful hand will be of a greater purpose than he shall ever know.
