"A couple of years ago, not long after you guys had left in search for your mate, I found Angel in the meadow just before rogue territory. Being so close I just assumed he was a rogue as well, but he was docile and timid not at all like the savage beasts." His eyes stared down lovingly to Angel, as if reminiscing the first time he had seen him.

"He was covered in blood from a recent kill, yet when I got closer he seemed confused as to how it happened. I was worried I was going to scare him off so I stayed hidden, yet close enough to observe his behavior.

I know he has a wolf I've seen it, but since I've brought him to the pack house he hasn't changed. He's refused to tell me his name or where he had come from, so I could only assume his wolf had retracted in order to protect itself.

Angel has never been able to form a bond with his wolf, and after so long that does tremendous damage to the vessel. I'm afraid if we can't reach Uriel in time then we won't be able to save Angel."

My ears were ringing as I tried to digest the information. What would I do if I had lost the mate I had only just found?

"Noah it's important you try to recall the conversation with Farris so we can get more information about Uriel. We need to further understand what we're dealing with."

I looked over to Noah who was seemingly lost as he watched Angel resting peacefully in his arms. His eyes were warm and gentle as he stroked Angels cheek. I've yearned for this moment for so long but now all I could feel was that familiar grotesque knot beginning to grow in my stomach, and yet again my hands itched to rip Angel away and to gouge Noah's eyes, but of course I refrained.

"Noah!" I exclaimed trying to regain his attention, he looked up at me suddenly with big eyes as if I had scared him.

"Have you been listening to anything dad has been saying?!" I don't know why I was so frustrated but his vacant eyes were starting to piss me off and honestly creep me out.

Sudden movement to my right made both of us look up in alarm.

"Noah... look at me son." Michael was across the room in a second before kneeling to inspect Noah closer, and only then did I notice the little bit of blood that was slowly dripping from his nose. I lurched forward to grab him suddenly hyper aware of the escalating situation. The feeling of protectiveness and petty jealousy had no sooner washed away and had been replaced with pure fear.

"Noah baby what's going on?" I spoke softly so I wouldn't startle him again. I tried to pull Angel from his grasp so I could grab him without hurting him, but he only held on tighter.

"He's gone." Alexander's voice boomed in my head making me wince. My heart began to beat at an alarmingly rapid speed.

"What do you mean he's gone?" I barely rasped out trying to grasp onto any sane part of me left.

"Farris is gone, I can't reach him."
