(Michael's POV)
I watch angrily as Noah carried Angel through the forest toward the pack doctor. If they had done as they were told then we could've avoided this whole situation, but leave it to my youngest son to ruin everything. I have lived beside Angel long enough to know that this is exactly the outcome I was expecting, he is so confused and lost about his own thoughts and feelings, I can only imagine the panic he felt when he felt the mate bond with two alpha males. It would be enough for anyone let alone someone who has been sheltered his whole life and has never shared a bond with his own wolf.
I heard Mathias growl in the back of my mind, his fatherly instincts made him bear his teeth in warning.
"Dad we can feel you're angry with us, but we're not sorry for what we've done. We've been waiting for this moment for so long and you can't keep our mate away from us. He's our mate so it's our decision to do what we want when it comes to matters that concern him." Mason speaks calmly.
"Excuse me? You know nothing about him, I told you to wait for a reason and now look at what you've done. I don't give a damn if he's your mate or not, if I don't think it's in his best interest for you to meet yet then you will have to wait until he's ready. He has become my first priority since you boys have left, he's my responsibility and you need to understand that I am your father but I am also your alpha, and if you continue to disobey me then I will be forced to take matters into my own hands, and I did not want to have to do that." My voice was tense with unnerving uncertainty. Of course I didn't know what was best for Angel but I was trying so hard to be the voice of reason.
I see Angel's head about to slip off Noah's shoulder, causing my heart to stutter. My legs force themselves forward successfully catching his head before it fell. I glare at Noah's surprised expression. "As I was saying, the two of you are in no place to claim Angel. He's already been through so much, and I've been working with him trying to get him to feel as comfortable as possible, and all you guys are doing is stressing him out." I try to reason all the while inspecting Angel's pale features.
"He'll do better now that we're here." Noah states bitterly. I roll my eyes at my idiotic son who seems determined to make my life a living hell, and currently succeeding in doing just that. He's giving me grays before my time.
"Maybe he's right Noah. Though I do hate the idea of being away from our mate, I think it would be best if he gets used to us beforehand. We don't know what he's been through, let him seek us out." Mason contradicts his younger twin as usual.
Noah just scoffs and tightens his hold on Angel.
"Have you lost your mind?! He's my mate and i'm not letting him go." He stops walking to look at Mason and I with a hateful glare. I went to reach for Angel again but this time Noah's wolf growled viciously.
"Touch him and i'll tear you apart" It was obvious Noah was no longer there as Farris's deep voice rang through the tense air. Mason and I immediately stepped back in fear and shock, Farris has always been the wiser of the two but now he's out as if we were the threat.
"Farris you have to understand..." Farris whines suddenly looking down to Angel with worried eyes.
"But Uriel needs me." I stared at the perturbed wolf with confused eyes.
"Who's Uriel?" Mason was the first to ask.
He didn't even look up when his fingers traced the outline of Angel's jaw.
"His wolf."
My eyes widened in surprise and sudden happiness.
"You can feel his wolf???" I could feel Mason staring at me with lost eyes, but when Farris looked back up it was Noah staring back with his usual hateful eyes.
I wanted to demand Farris come back out and tell me about Uriel, I thought something was wrong with Angel because he never shifted after that one incident, but knowing that Farris heard him brings knowledge that he's still there. Relief flooded me instantly as I felt contentment over the simple fact that we still had a chance to save Angel from becoming an empty vessel.
"Why are you so concerned about his wolf?" I turned to see Mason growing agitated. I let out a helpless sigh.
"We have a lot of things to talk about."
