The Young Prince

~X part 2.~

"The archery competition had begun." Like that, all sects invited went inside the barrier for the competition.

"Ey, Jiang Cheng do you think Lan Zhan will be happy to see me if I see him now." Wei Wuxian stated with a sly smile.

"Don't act immature." Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes as Wei Wuxian walked ahead laughing.

(HELP I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO TYPE T^T)

"It's not being immature. I'm genuinely asking." He sighed heavily before he saw a creature.

He got into his position, using the bow and arrows gifted to him by his Uncle. Making sure he was doing everything correctly, doing everything just as his uncle had instructed to him although adding his own flavor to it. He didn't exactly look like his uncle doing it but as wei wuxian the excellent archer he was. He shot the arrow perfectly however another intervened and shot the target instead. Wei Wuxian looked at the direction where it came from and he scowled, frowning as he saw that person.

~Meanwhile in the heavens~

"HA SEE THAT THAT'S MY NEPHEW-"

"HE GOT HIS TARGET STOLEN!" Another official stated in shock seeing that. Immediately Fengxin turned around blocking the screen where everyone was surrounding to look. Anger seeing it was true and who it was.

"THAT DAMN- HOW DARE THEY STEAL THE TARGET OF MY NEPHEW!"

~Back in the Mortal world~

Wen Chao sneezed as he felt a chill pass through him. He quickly composed himself before he made a smug smile at how the expressions were on both teens.
(Tbh I don't remember what happened during this time so thing might be very and i mean very inaccurate actually it might not even be anything like the novel (^-^;ﾉ))

"Wen Chao." Wei Wuxian whispered.

"I thought you were up on the stands, what are you doing here?" Wei Wuxian raised an eyebrow.

"I'm the young master of the wen clan, can I not participate."

"I never said that but it's very amusing to see the need to steal someone else's target. To swoop that low. Honestly. But to be honest I can't judge dogs just do what they do want." He shrugged.

That angered him. He pointed his bow and arrows at Wei Wuxian before shooting. Wei Wuxian wasn't a bit scared he knew he was protected. Simply a movement of his wrist with the fan he hid behind him would block it. However he was shocked with what came. An arrow pierced through it and broke it in half. All turned around and saw a man in white. A grey signal flare symbolizing someone was eliminated followed by a bright blue gusu signal.

"Why are you still here? Don't you see you've been eliminated! Are you breaking the rules!" Wei Wuxian teased as he smirked looking at the pissed off expression of the other.

"What rules! I am the rules!!" He was about to raise his bow when he saw the look of the three people before him. His simply huffed in anger and dissatisfaction as he turned away and left.

"Phew, I thought I was a gonner. Thank you Lan Zhan!" He smiled clearly teasing the latter.

"Mmn." Was all he replied before turning around.

Wei Wuxian saw how his forehead ribbon was crooked and called for him, "Lan Zhan your forehead ribbon is sideways! Let me help."

And so he ran towards him abd grabbed the end of it. As if time stopped Lan Wangji's eyes widened before he turned with a harsh glare directed at Wei Wuxian before he broke his bow. Seeing it Wei Wuxian unconsciously stepped back What is wrong with him!? I thought we were on good terms? Lan Wangji walked away as he snatched his ribbon from Wei Wuxian's hand. He was not seen at the end of the competition when results were out.

"1st place gusu lan, Lan Xichen. 2nd place also from gusu, Lan Wangji, 3rd place yunmeng jiang, Wei Wuxian."

The entire heavens cheered at that news. Although he wasn't 1st he did well.

"4th place, Yunmeng jiang, Jiang Wanyin."

Xie Lian and those who knew him cheered. Happy for the child. Madame Yu smiled at her son showing him her support and to not feel bad. Many were taken back by that gesture.

Jiang Cheng although disappointed smiled, especially seeing how his parents were still proud of him.

"5th, Lanling Jin, Jin Zixuan."

The Jiang's(Ziyuan, Jiang Cheng)  and Wei Wuxian scowled at that name. After all they still remember what occurred during the time they were studying in gusu.

And so the day came to an end, however some were displeased and what was to come would not be pretty.
