Chapter 5

The air was extremely refreshed after the rain. The chilly autumn wind blew away the warmness of the summer.

Wei Jing was called to the car by his big brother early in the morning. Wei Zhe said that he needed to fulfill his promise from yesterday. After the freezing Wei Mei saw this, he also followed along because he wanted to buy clothes.

In the low-profile black car, Wei Jing was sitting in the back seat upright and still. His fair and delicate face appeared nervous. If a person that didn't know the full truth saw this, they would've thought he was forced into the car. Why did his big brother suddenly become so affectionate to him? What had he done for his big brother to view him in a new light? He was so anxious.

In his past life, it could be said that Wei Jing shameless followed his big brother around. But in this life, he had already changed. How come he ended up back in the same place?

The more Wei Jing thought about this, the more serious his expression became. He was only six or seven, yet he acted like an adult. Wei Zhe wanted to tease him when he saw this.

"Are you afraid that big brother will sell you?" Wei Zhe parted his lips, teasing.

"Ah?" The child's soft lips parted. He blinked his pitch-black eyelashes, stunned for a bit before he reacted. He said, feeling wronged, "I'm not worth much even if you want to sell me."

"Why wouldn't you?" Wei Zhe supported his chin with his hand. His deep and bright eyes seemed to be mixed with a tint of darkness. "There are some places that love fair and delicate boys like you."

Wei Jing glared at the young man in fear, moving to the side, indicating that he didn't want to talk to big brother anymore.

Pft. Wei Zhe couldn't help but laugh, but the smile disappeared right then. He fisted his right hand and pressed it against his mouth, swallowing the rest of the laughter. Wei Zhe continued, "It's true that you aren't worth much. Even selling you can't afford the car we're sitting in right now."

Wei Jing was speechless.

He was angrier. What should he do now? Big brother was so annoying.

After this useless conversation, the atmosphere in the car became better. Although Wei Jing said he'd stay away from his big brother, it was difficult to change the habit from his past life. One gaze and one conversation. The two mutually understood each other. As long as people weren't blind, they could tell.
Wei Zhe found this to be surprising. He hadn't talked to his younger brother that often. They had been living under the same roof for almost a year, but they actually don't know anything about each other. But ever since the child sat on the wrong seat on the dining table, the two finally started talking. He just realized that the child understood him.

Wei Mei who was sitting in the passenger seat was jealous and envious of their interaction. He glanced back secretly from time to time. Even more, he made sure to listen closely to their conversation, scared that he might miss any information. In order to disguise his action, he even took out the phone he specially brought from home.

The phone didn't have a big screen which was the type that Wei Jing was used to, but rather a small phone screen. It was the size of a palm and there weren't many functions either. Don't mention games. There were only tetris and slitter.io on there.

Wei Mei started playing tetris whilst being distracted. Within a few moves, there was no space left and he lost.

He suddenly got a phone call. Wei Mei looked to see his mother's call. But they had just called each other yesterday! He didn't understand why his mother called him at this time. They already said everything they had to yesterday.
