In the spacious and bright ward, the autumn chilly wind blew into the room through the half-opened window.

Ten days had passed since the car accident. Wei Zhe was also moved from the ICU to a normal ward. However, he was still unconscious like the sleeping beauty in the fairytale. Right now, in the corridor outside the ward, Wei Jing curled his body up until a ball and tightly clutched the doorknob of the door, preventing himself from being forcibly taken away.

"I'm not going. I need to stay here to take care of my big brother." He grasped the doorknob tightly and even veins burst as a result.

"Someone will take care of Wei Zhe." Wei He said this coldly and his gaze icy like a sharp knife piercing into people's skins.

Wei Jing sucked in a deep breath and his lips slightly trembled. He furrowed his brows deeply unlike a child. "This is different. What if my big brother wakes up? The doctor told us his condition clearly. You'll probably throw big brother to a deserted place later one and hire several people to look after him, allowing him to perish on his own. You probably don't care whether he's living a good life, happy, or being bullied or not, right?"

Although this was a question, he said this in an affirmative tone.

Wei He laughed indifferently and glanced at the child.

"But I can take care of my big brother. When big brother wakes up, you can bring me over as well." Wei Jing calmed down and told him his plan. "That way, it'll save you a lot of trouble, right?"

"But..." The man tilted his head and mentioned the cruel and bloody possibility. "But what if he doesn't wake up?"

"I...I can keep on staying here to take care of big brother." Wei Jing pinched the palm of his hand, wanting to let his muddle-headed brain wake up a little. "I will go to school as usual and move out of the residence. I'll just live near the hospital."

Tch. Wei He said meaningfully, "Your plan is based on the precondition that I will spend money to support you. But...I don't want to spend a single cent on you!"

Wei Jing's face paled and even the faint color on his lips faded. Thankfully, he had his past life's experience and knew how much Wei He disliked himself. Therefore, he titled his head and took a deep breath, saying, "I will try to earn money."

He had lived in the Wei Family for a year or longer. Plus, with the items that his late mother had left him, he still had about a million. Right now, one million was worth quite a bit. The B City's houses aren't that expensive right now. He could buy a small house and use the rest of the money as monthly living expenses.

Right now, the internet wasn't as advanced. The graphic novels were mainly paperbacks.

He'd go buy sketchbooks and paintbrushes to start drawing tomorrow. Then, he'll submit his work. In two years, Weibo would be out and he'd hurry to request an account. He'd work hard to manage the account and become an internet celebrity or open a jewelry store as well. In short, he won't starve to death.

Almost immediately, Wei Jing knew what he wanted to do next.

"Fine, since you're saying this, have fun living by yourself!" Wei He laughed indifferently. He waved his hands and the bodyguards following him turned around and left.

Whew! Wei Jing sighed. No matter what, he won the first round.

"Big brother." The child walked to the bed and reached over to brush the hair aside from the young man's face. "Why aren't you awake yet?"

Wei Family has been in turmoil lately. Almost all of the illegitimate sons made their moves, hoping that Wei He would take a fancy to them, so that he could bring them back to the residence. But no one knew that the person who entered the residence first was Wei Mei.

The one whose mother hired a person to harm Wei Zhe.

Some people wanted to refute this decision, but Wei He was in charge of the Wei Family. He could do whatever he wanted to. After Wei He refuted them, they had to place their thoughts away.

When Wei Jing heard this news, the hand wiping Wei He's face trembled. The snow-white towel wiped the young man's hair and over an inconspicuous black mark. Wei Jing stared at the tower, in a daze. Big brother had been unconscious for thirteen days which was almost two weeks.

Because Wei Zhe's head was injured, he couldn't wash his head. His originally neat and clean hairstyle became oily and greasy.

Everyone seemed to have forgotten about this place. Besides the two nurse assistants and him, no one came to visit Wei Zhe anymore.

Wei Jing felt sour, murmuring to himself. "Look at you. How come you don't even have a friend? You're so pitiful right now. No one else is here to visit you besides me. Sigh. Why am I saying this. Big brother, I didn't wipe your right hand yet. Wait for me. I'm going to get some warm water. The water is already cold here."

The child stood up to grab the warm bottle of water, wanting to add some warm water.

"Wei Jing?" The familiar and slightly hoarse voice rang with uncertainty.

Wei Jing's body froze. The tears that he had been holding in dropped. He didn't dare to turn around, afraid that it was only a dream and illusion.

"Wei Jing." The voice said with certainty this time.

The child suddenly turned around and sobbed. He ran ahead, wanting to pounce into the young man's arms. However, he was afraid of touching Wei Zhe's injuries, so he stood by the bed. He glanced at the ink-colored eyes. He wanted to cry but laugh at the same time, like a crazy child.

The situation was very strange right now. Wei Zhe who appeared to be only thirteen had a soul of twenty-six years old. He lied in bed and accepted the doctor's treatment. Yet, his gaze landed on the teary child.

The seven years old Wei Xiao Jing had a sharp face and bright eyes. Tears brimmed his eyes, making him seem like an exquisite and emulating doll.

How did he become so skinny? A flicker of unhappiness passed through his eyes. He was being picky with his food again?

"How many fingers am I holding up?" The doctor wearing the lab coat raised three fingers.

Wei Zhe knitted his eyebrows and wore a serious expression. His black eyes were like a deep bottomless pit. He was just a young man and had a weak body, but no one could ignore his existence. Even if he was just lying there, people found it difficult to breathe. It seemed as if they were facing a top-notch hunter.

The doctor moved a few steps back out of fear.

Wei Zhe glanced at him indifferently. With an icy voice, "You're the doctor in charge?"

"Yes." The doctor nodded.

"Switch someone smarter over." Wei Zhe narrowed his eyes. "I don't need a doctor to ask me how many fingers he's holding up."

The doctor was speechless.

Ehhh? Wei Jing suddenly widened his eyes. Wait, this seemed to be different from the past. Didn't they say he'd become a retard? How come he felt as if his big brother's imposing manner became more power and threatening? Was it his illusion?

The author has something to say: Wei Jing: Wait, this is different from what was said.

Wei Zhe: Who said it to you...

The doctor cried with a cry, this person does not play cards according to the routine!
