Arranged Marriage

Chapter seven

Hermione's view 

Yesterday Draco showed me what he likes to do on dates, showing me who he was as a person. Today is my day to do something fun, I have something in mind, but I do not believe that Draco will find it fun. However, it does show him who I am as a person. I get up out of bed excited for the day, I race over to the wardrobe putting on a pair of old jeans, a t-shirt, and some old sneakers. I move out of the wardrobe to find Draco waking up, his eyes shoot over to me standing in my home clothing. He gives me a puzzled look, I just smile at him and place some clothing on the bed I wish him to put on. He begins putting them on, a pair of jeans, his vans from yesterday and a green t-shirt which he has never worn in his life. He moves over to the mirror. "Well, this is very different but now to the important part, what are we doing today?" he asks with a puzzled look; I grab his hand and race down the Manor, I walk into the sitting room and apparate us to Diagon Alley. 

"What are we doing here?" Draco asks from behind me. I start walking around moving in and out of shops, we go into every shop holding hands. I fill a bag of things I want and need. "So, this is your idea of fun," Draco asks me. "Not only this, come on," I take his hand moving into the bookshop. I walk down the back to find the kids section, I find the area is full of Wizarding children and their parents, I find the owner holding the book that I will be reading today. I take a seat at the front of the room and Draco stands behind the parents and children sitting in front of me. I begin reading the story of Babbitty Rabbity and the Cackling Stump. I love reading, especially to others. After I finish, I turn to look at Draco who has the biggest smile on his face. I move past everyone before grabbing his hand and taking him to our next destination. We apparate out of Diagon Alley and to Hogwarts. "What are we doing here," Draco asks me pulling me back to him. "We are going to see Hagrid and help him with the magical creatures," I say moving towards Hagrid's Hut that was destroyed. He has started to fix it but it, needs some more work. 

"Hello Hagrid," I yell out. "Hermione, is that you?" comes a voice from inside the hut. "Yes, I have come to help with the Magical Creatures," I say before Hagrid steps out of the hut. "What is he doing here?" Hagrid looks over to find Draco standing a little away from me. "Sorry Hagrid, this is my fiancé soon to be husband at the end of next week," I go over to take Draco's hand in mine. "Well, come along we have much to do, I am sure you can help us somehow Draco," Hagrid says and we walk into the forbidden forest. We help feed the creatures, fixing their wounds, and playing with the young. After finishing up there we apparate back to the Manor. I pull Draco into the kitchen and find there are ingredients on the bench ready for us to begin making dinner. "What are you doing?" Draco says from behind me. "We are going to be making dinner for your mother, the Zambini's and the Nott's," I say proudly grabbing an apron and opening the cookbook I found. Draco comes to stand beside me before saying, "I don't know how much help I am going to be here". I laugh and begin making our dinner. I decide to make Shepherd's pie which was a comfort food my parents used to make me. 

After we put the pie in the oven, I grab Draco and we go to get changed before everyone arrives. I slip on an emerald dress, this one is form fitting and ends just above my knees. Its short but not too short for dinner. I put my hair up in a low bun and put my diamonds on before Draco comes over and takes them off. "What did you do that for?" I ask confused. He doesn't say a word but pulls out some emerald and diamond earrings, a necklace and clip to match. They go perfectly with my dress, and I find some silver sparkly stilettos. Draco has put on a pair of black dress pants, his dress shoes, and a burgundy silk button up on. I smile as it is my colour, and we head to dinner to greet our guests. As we arrive in the sitting room, we find our guests have just arrived. I smile at everyone and usher them into the dining room. Whilst everyone takes their seats I move to the kitchen and plate up everyone's plate before Draco comes in to help me. We put everyone's plates in front of them before Mrs Zambini says," What are you two doing, do you not have house elves anymore Narcissa?" She looks puzzled at us before I say, "well, I enjoy hosting and being involved in things, Draco and I actually made this dinner especially for you". I say before taking my seat, "also I do not like the ideas of house elves as they are trapped, if we have house elves, I wish to make a contract, where I will pay them and treat them as they should be". I know that Mrs Zambini along with everyone else other than Draco would be glaring. I just continue to eat the delicious meal that Draco and I prepared before our guests leave. Only 5 more days and I would be a Malfoy.
