Draco's view

The next few weeks fly by, and it is finally Christmas holidays. Hermione and I get to go back to the manor to see my mother and share with her the exciting news. Hermione's belly has really stared to become bigger and show since she is having twins. I wake up holding Hermione in my arms gently drawing circles on her belly. I feel Hermione shift in my arms softly saying, "good morning, what time is your mother expecting us?" "I think she said about lunch time," I say kissing her on the top of her head. We both lay in before for a while longer before much to my disappointment Hermione insists that we get up, so we have enough time to get ready, so we don't make my mother impatient. I reluctantly get out of bed, moving to put on some comfortable black jeans and an emerald silk button up shirt. I run my fingers through my hair before trying to find my vans, for some reason I have become more accustomed to muggle clothing, they are indeed much more comfortable than wearing suits every single day. "They are under the bed," Hermione yells from the bathroom knowing exactly what I am after. "Thanks, dear," I say as I bend down to pull them out from under the bed.

As I stand up, I turn to see Hermione standing in the bathroom doorway wearing an emerald silk dress that flows out under her breasts, it has spaghetti straps and stops at her knees. Her hair is tamed into flowing curls that are held on either side of her face with sparkly clips. She comes over to the bed to sit down in order for me to help with her shoes since she can no longer bend down to put her shoes on. "I want to wear my black vans as well they are super comfortable and will help with my fat feet," she says as I move to find her shoes neatly beside the dresser. I move back to her to put them on her feet before standing and pulling her up off the bed. I move my hands from her hands and down to her hips to bring her closer to me for a kiss. "I will grab your wand, our coats, and we should be ready to leave," I say before grabbing her wand off the dresser along with our coats as it is snowing outside. She comes over to me taking her hand in mine and we walk through the castle to McGonagall's office so that we can head home to my mother's for the holidays. As we make it into her office, she gives us both a hug before handing Hermione a small parcel and we floo to the manor.

"Draco," I hear my mother's voice come from the chair not far from the fireplace, I also see she is not sitting alone. My face goes from a smile to pure dread. The person sitting besides my mother stands next to her and says, "hello son". My father, someone I thought would never be able to come back into civilisation is standing in our living room. Hermione's hand holds onto mine tighter reassuring me I am not in a dream, and this is real life. "Hermione," my mother comes over to her bringing her into a hug, "look at you, you look wonderful. How far along are you now?" "Four and a half months, so halfway," Hermione beams at my mother. "Wow, dear I didn't think you would have grown this big if you are only halfway along," my mother stares at her in shock still holding her belly. Hermione looks over at me and I nod at her, "well, that is because I am having twins," she says, and I look at my mother's face. Her mouth opens staring at us in shock. "Also, they are both boys," Hermione continues and my mother screams with joy before taking Hermione and myself into her arms. "That is the most exciting news my darlings, two little dragons," my mother beams with so much joy. I turn my eyes to look over at my father standing not far behind my mother with a small smile on his face looking over at my mother and Hermione who have the biggest smiles on their faces. "Let's go into the dining room for lunch and then we have lots to discuss we must hold a Christmas Eve Ball in celebration on your twins," my mother says walking towards the dining room. Hermione follows after and I stay waiting for my father to walk after them. He doesn't move but however looks over at me.

"I am very proud of you and the life you have built for yourself and Hermione. She has made an excellent addition to the family. I am just worried for you both with how you are both going to handle raising twin boys. Handling you was enough for your mother and I, but I am sure that both yourself and Hermione will be well prepared and will be excellent parents," my father says to me before turning to move into the dining room with mother and Hermione. I stand in the middle of the room in shock at his words. He had never said anything like that before, especially never to me. I feel like I am in a dream again not being able to understand what he had said, I am broken from my thoughts as Hermione stands in front of me with a concerned look on her face. "Is everything okay darling?" she says looking up at me with her big eyes. "Yes, my father just said he was proud of me, something I never thought I would hear him say," I say still in shock that it had really happened. Hermione stands up on her tippy toes kissing me on the check before grabbing my hand to drag me to the dining room for lunch as we are now late. After we finish dinner, I head to our room to unpack, and Hermione goes with my mother to start planning the Christmas Eve Ball. I join them later so we can discuss that Hermione and I will be leaving on Christmas morning after we open presents to go to the Burrow with the Weasley's. The rest of the week turns into planning for the ball along with Hermione spending time in the library and helping my father with business.
