Hermione's view

After we got back from seeing Headmaster McGonagall, we grabbed our things from the cottage and went straight home to the Manor. Narcissa had been reading in the sitting room when we arrived back at the Manor. "Draco, Hermione, is that you?" she called out. "Yes mother, we have come home a few days early with some exciting news," Draco called after her taking my hand and moving us into the room she was in. "Are you pregnant?" she blurted out. My face went pale, we had not planned to have children yet, that thought scared me as we had not long finished school and I wasn't ready for that yet. I hadn't even talked about it with Draco yet. "No, we are returning to Hogwarts, but we will be teaching," Draco said with a smile on his face, nervous about what his mother would say but also at the fact he knew we would be having the conversation about children later.

The room was silent for a moment before Narcissa ran at us with open arms bringing us both into a tight hug. "Congratulations, that is exciting news. I was meaning to have a chat with you both about what you would be doing with your future now that you were finished with school and are married," Narcissa said still squeezing us tight. "Well, we have chosen the classes we wish to teach, and McGonagall showed us to our classrooms. We will be receiving a list of things we will require and then she also informed us we will be meeting all of the other teachers about two weeks before all of the students arrive. It is so exciting to be going back to Hogwarts, they have really fixed the place up," I beam with joy. "We should go unpack, and we will meet you for dinner shortly mother," Draco said grabbing my hand and taking me to our room.

"Are you okay?" I ask as Draco is very silent on the way to our room. "Yes, sorry, there are a lot of things going on inside my brain at the minute," he says still holding my hand and pulling me behind him. As we arrive at our room we walk in and he sits down on the bed, putting his head in his hands. I move to stand in front of him, "please don't shut me out. What is on your mind maybe I can help." "It's just what my mother said. I was really taken back by that. I know we are married and that would be the next step in marriage but I'm not quite ready yet. Yes, I would love to have your children one day but not at this minute," Draco says finally looking up at me after he finishes talking. I take his face in my hands and move my head down and kiss him softly, "I know, I am not ready for children yet either. We are still young. We have plenty of time. First, we need to start working and figuring out our lives together before we bring a child into this world. Give it a few years, we are only just stepping into adulthood. We have a job the next thing would be to find a home before starting to try for children".

He smiles up at me, "I knew you were the one you are always so logical. I don't know what I would do without you. You're amazing Hermione Malfoy". "I know," I say giggling, "now we best change for dinner with your mother. Also, would you hate me if I wanted to go have dinner at the Burrow with the Weasley's and Harry? I would want you to be there though please, by my side". "Yes, of course darling anything for you. You should send them a letter tonight after dinner," Draco says standing up before moving into the wardrobe. I may as well get it done now, I move to my desk and take out some parchment and begin writing.

Dear Mrs and Mr Weasley,

I would love to come over for dinner one-night next week to see you all. I miss you all very much and we have lots to talk about. I know coming to my wedding the other week was a shock to you all, but I know you still accept me, and I hope you one day accept my husband.

Love Hermione Malfoy.

I fold the parchment and move over to the window; Draco's owl comes over grabbing the parchment and I inform him where to go. I watch the owl fly off, before turning around to find Draco standing behind me. "I was just sending the letter now since it was already in my brain. May as well get it over and done with," I shrug and move into the wardrobe to find something to wear for dinner. I pull on a long silver dress, that has a low back. I find some silver stilettos and pull my hair out of my face into a half up half down hairstyle. I walk out of the wardrobe and Draco and pulled out my diamonds, walking over to me to put them on me. We then walk in silence to the dining room. As we walk in, we find that there is not only Narcissa but also some I know very well. Pansy.

Draco's view

"What are you doing here," I yell over at Pansy who is standing a few feet away from my mother. "I am so sorry Draco, I didn't know she knew how to get here or even how to get inside," my mother says backing away from her further walking towards us. "It's okay mother," I look at her with soft forgiving eyes, before turning back to Pansy glaring at her. "I asked you a question, Parkinson," I yell again angrily. "I am here to get you back; I saw the papers. Why did you marry that filthy Mudblood," she screams at Hermione. "I should have been your wife Draco, not her. I know you more than she does. I should have been the one to marry you," Pansy hisses from the other side of the room. "Well, as you can see, I did not marry you, Pansy. I married the most incredible woman in the world, she knows me better than you ever will. I love her with all of my heart, and I will never stop loving her," I yell at her before she disappears.

I turn around to face Hermione who is standing next to me, our hands are still entwined and there are tears now falling from her face. I let go of her hand and move in front of her and pull her face into my hands. "What's wrong love," I ask. She then looks down at her stomach which is bleeding through her dress. My eyes move down, "Hermione, you're okay, it's going to be okay," I say trying to keep myself together. I pick her up in my arms and race to the fireplace, my mother not far behind me. We step through the fireplace, flooing straight to St Mungo's. As we step into St Mungo's, "someone please help us," I scream. A healer races over to us, "oh Merlin, bring her with me, quickly we need to stabilise her before she loses too much blood," the healer says racing through St Mungo's. I race after him, holding on tight to Hermione. We come to a room, and I walk in placing her on the bed. The healer turns to me saying, "I am sorry sir, but you will have to leave and wait outside the room, I will call you in when we have finished so you can sit with her." I nod before kissing Hermione on the head and leaving the room to find my mother waiting in the hallway. She has her arms open, and I move into them, tears running down my face.
