Draco's view
We sat in the waiting room, for what felt like days, when it was only a few hours. "She is stable, we have sown up her stomach along, however, she has lost a lot of blood and it will take time for her to fully recover. There is something you must know Mr Malfoy as you are her wife. Can we speak in private?" the healer asked me as I stood shaking slightly. I walk behind the healer to his office, and he shuts the door behind me, "please take a seat". I do as he says knowing I will need to be seated as I don't know how stable I would be standing. "Your wife she has lost a lot of blood, we were able to save her however, in order for her to become more stable we will need to perform a spell where we bond you both together. She has had some loss of blood to the brain. There is also another factor, when she was cut in the stomach, we found there was a slice cut into her womb. We were able to securely fix her womb but unfortunately, we were unable to save your son," the healer says softly. Tears stream down my face, but I look up when I hear she was pregnant with a baby boy. Our baby boy. "You are able to go see her now if you wish she will be asleep however, she should be awake in a few hours. When she wakes, I will come with you to inform her of everything and then perform the bonding ceremony", the healer continues before he leads me to her room.
As I walk into the room, I see she is in hospital gowns and there is no more blood. Her hair is a mess now and she is pale from losing so much blood. She is hooked up to some tubes and wires. I move over to the chair sitting beside her bed and sit down taking one of her fragile hands in my hands. I put my head down onto the side of the bed and tears rush down my face again. I whisper, "my dear Hermione, I need you to wake up. Wake up for me, for our son. You are my world; you give me hope and have changed me for the better. I am ever grateful you married me a month ago, I am so lucky to have you in my life, but I can't lose you okay. Not now, not ever." I sit there holding her hand, my mother comes in and sits for a while. She then leaves to go get us some food, before returning. We wait, healers come and go checking her tubes and wires. When visiting hours come to an end a new healer comes in to tell us to leave. "Visiting time is up, you both need to leave," the healer says grumbly. "I am her wife thank you, and that is my mother," I say still holding Hermione's hand. "Fine then you can stay but your mother must leave," the healer says waiting for my mother to get up and leave. My mother gets up before kissing Hermione on the head and whispering something I cannot hear. She then moves to me, kissing my head, whispering, "she will wake up soon, I know she will." She leaves and now it is only Hermione and I.
I sit in the uncomfortable chair holding her hand and waiting for her to wake. My eyes slowly begin to shut when I feel a movement coming from the bed. I wake up, Hermione's body begins thrashing around the bed, shaking. "Someone, help," I scream. The healer I spoke with earlier, that healed Hermione runs in. "Mr Malfoy, I need you to please move into the hallway again," the healer says as more healers race into the room. I move outside of the room and sit waiting in the same chairs I was in when we first arrived. The healer comes out, "Mr Malfoy, we need you now, we need to complete the bonding ceremony now, or she may not make it". I stand and move into the room. "I need you to stand next to her and put both of her hands in yours. Do not let go until after I tell you so. I will say the bonding words, and then there will be a glow". I nod before moving to Hermione's side, taking both of her hands in mine like I was instructed to do. The healer stands at the end of the bed, he softly says some words. A glow of magic moves from his hands flowing over us both, little strings of magic circling around us. I hold Hermione's hands and a strange feeling flows through me. All of a sudden it feels like my body it hit with a mountain of emotions and thoughts. My mind trying to weave through them I shut my eyes, I see glimpses of the Wizarding world. I see Hermione, Harry, Ron, the Weasley's, and myself. I see parts of her life flashing through my mind, from before she came to Hogwarts, when she was there and then our wedding. Then I hear a voice, you can let go now. I open my eyes and let go of Hermione's hands falling back into the chair.
"Now, it might get some getting used to but, you will be able to feel all of her thoughts and feelings. She is stable now, but she won't wake for a few hours now. Her blood level is right again, but she needs rest especially after being bonded to someone. I am sure you also need rest and I advise you either sit there in that chair or you could rest in the bed with her since she is your wife. She is now no longer attached to wires and tubes so you would hurt her," the healer says before leaving the room. I wait till the door is closed to move up onto the bed next to Hermione and lay next to her and hold her in my arms. I kiss her forehead and hold onto her tight. I slowly fall asleep drifting into dream of a mix between mine and Hermione memories and thoughts.
