Brave
- sol 🌞

My girlfriend confessed that she's afraid of getting even the slightest scratches which made me surprised. Still, I accepted that cute side of her. However months passed by, and that part of her became quite a burden for me. She'd always weep like a child whenever she gets small wounds or scratches to the point that I get easily annoyed at her. So I showed her less care and attention. I even once told her out of rage, "Why don't you act braver for once?!" That hurt her a lot but she did get brave. The pain she hated the most.. she endured it when she saved me from getting shot by a robber. She whispered as she winced in pain, "I.. I can't handle.. the p-pain but if it's for y-you, I'll b-bear with it."

The boy: he learned taekwondo and self-defense. he's used to getting hurt that's why he was surprised by his girlfriend's confession.

The girl: her mother was overly protective of her ever since she was born. she never got to play so roughly as her mother disapproves of it, resulting for her be very afraid of pain and acts like a child when getting hurt.

Lesson: love your other one for who they are. accept their flaws and imperfection. they're already beautiful, it's up to you if you'd like to see it or choose to be oblivious to it.
