Excitement bubbled inside of Beomgyu as he stood in front of the mirror, brushing out his hair, fixing it neatly, and wearing his black jeans and a white shirt with a beautiful necklace hanging loosely around his neck. It made him feel handsome and classy for his date. He was satisfied with his reflection in the mirror as he stared at it through his red bangs. He liked himself and knew he looked nice, despite how nervous he was because his thoughts kept drifting towards Taehyun and also the fact that Taehyun was willing to meet Eunji. Beomgyu couldn't help but feel happy and excited.

"Daddy! I'm ready"

Beomgyu giggled and looked back when Eunji entered his room with a happy smile admiring her face and dark hair piled up on top of her head. She wore a pretty pink and white floral patterned dress and white adorable shoes. Her little feet waddled into the room and stopped abruptly at the sight of her daddy.

"Oh! You're so pretty like a princess", Beomgyu cooed and bend down to her, holding her little hands to take a better look at her, making the child giggle, "Looks like uncle Yeonjun has taken good care of you"

Eunji giggled and bounced on her place, her green eyes sparkling with happiness, "Uncle Yeonjun is the best!"

Beomgyu laughed lightly as Eunji continued to talk about her uncle with complete admiration in her voice. He smiled softly at the sight of her little face filled with pure innocence. Then she placed her little hands on Beomgyu's cheeks and pulled them up to her face, staring at him lovingly, while pressing her little lips against his forehead.

"You're so beautiful, daddy", Eunji said with adoration shining from her eyes, causing a small blush to adorn Beomgyu's cheeks as his heart fluttered inside his chest at hearing those words from his beautiful girl, "Just like papa"

Beomgyu froze at those last words. He gulped nervously as a lump rose from his throat at that sentence, a warm feeling spreading across his chest for some reason.

Dark Eagle... Beomgyu couldn't help but think of him as an innocent person every time Eunji would mention him or say anything about him to Beomgyu. It was almost as if the image of Dark Eagle was engraved somewhere inside of Beomgyu's heart and that it seemed impossible for the image to disappear or be erased, and after meeting that little girl, Beomgyu got to know that Dark Eagle was an ordinary person like him who had feelings and loved someone. He wasn't just a serial killer, he was a human also, just like Beomgyu. Just like the rest of them.

"You know, Beomgyu, sometimes things aren't as they seem. People aren't what they appear to be. You shouldn't make assumptions until you look deep into the situation, Beomgyu"

And maybe Taehyun was right. Maybe Dark Eagle wasn't as much of a monster as he appeared to be in reality after all. Maybe there was another side of him, but he was still a murderer of his uncle after all. Beomgyu wasn't able not to hate him.

"Oh, you're all dressed up as well", Yeonjun said with a raised brow once Beomgyu and Eunji exited the bedroom, "Where are you two going, may I know?"

A little smile crept onto Beomgyu's lips as a small blush drew across his cheeks at Yeonjun's inquiry. Happiness sparkled like stars in his eyes for a brief moment before he managed to compose himself and smiled sheepishly at his friend, "I'm gonna meet Taehyun"

Yeonjun seemed taken aback by his answer, his expression changing immediately, his scared eyes instantly drifting to Eunji who was looking up at Beomgyu with curious eyes at the mention of Taehyun's name, excitement twinkling in her little eyes.

"W-where are you gonna meet?", Yeonjun asked nervously, returning his eyes to his friend.

"In the Big Bang cafe"
