Age (Hayes Grier)

•Chapter 3•

When I got to Vancouver, I FaceTime Nash. He kept asking me if everything will be okay. And just kept and kept asking questions. I get it that he's my best friend/brother but man he gets annoying. Still love him tho.

"Hey Edith." I felt Hayes put his arm around my waist. I smile at him but I look down with a tear coming down my face.

"Hey. Whats wrong?" He says pulling up my chin while cleaning my tear.

"It's Nash."

"What about him?"

"He keeps asking me question. And every time, I answer with yes or no. He says that I'm lying." I start to cry more.

"What did he ask you?"

"He asked me if I will be okay with being with you and everybody. He asked me if I wasn't gonna try anything on you. Or if I wasn't gonna do anything stupid. Or if I was gonna keep talking smack of Gilinsky and Sammy. Or if I ran away because of Sammy and Gilinsky." I start to cry more. "Nash, treats me like a baby."

"Edith, Nash is looking at for you. And he wants to take care of you. Your mom told him to take care of you."

"Wait what! Why didn't you tell me this a long time ago!?"

"Edith, it's been what a year that your mom died. And even though your older than Nash. Your mom knew that you would be devastated with everything. Edith, he's just trying to care for you."

"But I can take care of myself! I'm 18 and I don't need anybody!" I get up and go outside to get fresh air.

"Can I talk to you?"

"What's up, Aaron?"

"Edith, Hayes has a point. Your mom did wanted Nash to take care of you. And Nash loves you so much. He doesn't wanna let you get hurt. He just wants to be there for you and even Hayes."

"When your mom committed suicide, she left a note for everyone. And she left one for me and Nash. And I have the note." It was Hayes talking.

"She left us a note, Edith. And we want to read it to you." I turn around and Nash was on FaceTime.

"What did she say?"

"Dear Hayes,
I've known you for a little. But I know you make my daughter happy and smile. I know you guys all love her so much. I know one day you'll guys break up because she's older than you but I don't want you guys to. You guys look lovely together and happy. I want the best for Edith. Please Hayes take care of Edith for me and if she says that she's all grown up that she doesn't need anybody. Say your mom is here and she wants me to care of you. Please Hayes take care of her and tell her I'm sorry. Love Mama Summers." Hayes says. I start to cry more.

"Dear Nash,
I know how much you mean to Edith. Your her best friend. Her world. Her life. Her everything. Her brother. She trusts you with all her life and respect. And I know you feel the same way about her. Nash, Edith is my only daughter and she was my all. Her dad didn't want to let her go to Magcon that she was his baby little girl. So I let her go. I knew how much she would've loved it. Nash, can you please take care of Edith for me. I know she would do stupid stuff. And don't tell her your taking care of her for me. I know she wouldn't want that. Please take care of her and tell her I'm sorry. Love Mama Summers." Nash finished and I cried even more.

"Hayes and Nash are supposed to take care of you from a command from your mom. Forgive them both and be family again." Aaron says.

"I forgive you guys. I'm so sorry. I just hate the fact that Nash you don't believe me in anything." I say.

"I'm being overprotective. I'm sorry." Nash says.

"And Hayes." He looks at me. "I'm sorry for yelling at you. Maybe if you guys told me about this earlier, we wouldn't be here." I say looking at both of them. I hug Hayes and blow a kiss to Nash.

I think it's good to have family like the Grier's.
