•Chapter 21•

I was back home and everyone was up all on LJ. I couldn't even hold my own little baby for a minute. Right now, Skylynn was sitting on my lap while Luke was sitting next to me while we all talked about things. LJ was taking a nap in my room.

"So do you guys want to go the movies?" Nash asked. Everyone started yelling about what movie to watch and it woke up LJ.

"Sorry, Edith." Gilinsky said.

"Its alright you guys go. I have to stay here take care of LJ." They all nod. Everyone was leaving, I was upstairs carrying LJ when I felt a pair of arms around my waste.

"Luke, you should've gone with them."

"But I wanted to be here with my baby." He said while he kissed my cheek.

"Luke, I really like you but you know my focus will be more on LJ." I sat down on the bed with LJ still in my arms.

"I know and I'm willing to take the risk."

"What about Hayes?"

"I really like you and you know I would do anything for you. If your not ready, then I'm okay with that." He sat next to me.

"I just don't know yet. These past months that I have been with you. You helping me out a lot. just you being there for me, means everything to me. Hayes left. I know Nash told him to move on which is good. But I'm a mom already and you still go to school. I don't know."

"Think about it. I'll see you later." With that he kissed me on the cheek and left. LJ was wide awake and i just playing around with him for like 2 hours.

"Edith, we're home!" I hear Nash yell. I grab LJ and put him in my arms. I walk downstairs.

"We brought you food." Cameron passes me a plate with pizza.

"You guys know me too well." Sierra grabs LJ out of hands while I sit in the kitchen table and eat my pizza.

"Hey." Hayes sat next to me.

"Hey. Can I talk to you in private?" I say while I look at the living room and everyone laughing and playing with LJ. He nods. We go outside to the back porch and sit down. It was night and the sky looked beautiful.

"I'm sorry." I say while still looking at the sky.

"For what?"

"You come back and I just give you the "Welcome back! I'm kinda dating your best friend." He chuckles.

"I'm okay with you guys being together you know that."

"I know. But-"

"But what?"

"I'm not actually with Luke. We went on two dates but I don't think I should start dating. Mostly when-"

"I'm still in love with you." I look at him and he looks at me too. I lean in.

"It's better if we don't." I backed away while a tear rolled down my cheek. "I love you, Edith. But-"

"It's better if we move on." He nods.

"I like Luke a lot but we had something that I can't move on. Yes, I told you to move on. Well Nash did but I can't."

"Edith, you have LJ. And you are beautiful. You can find any guy. I love you but it's time we both move on." I nod. With that he kisses my cheek and leaves. I just cry there.

"I need you, Mommy." I say while I look up at the sky.
