Anna was enjoying her morning with Elli, Abe and Hollywood. He had actually taken some time away from Heidi's bedroom and come down to play with them instead. Elli maintained that he was the best at giving her piggy backs. He disagreed, clearly worn through. Anna was snuggled into Abe, his arms wrapped around her as they watched the other two.
Weeks had now passed, and they were happily settled in their routine. They tried very hard not to focus on the chatter that the men would be moving on in the next month or so.
Anna looked up at Abe. He was deep in thought.
"What are you thinking about?" she asked, breaking his concentration.
"I was thinking about writin' a letter to my Momma. I wanna tell her about you and Elli."
"You do?"
"Yeah, of course I do... but I ain't wrote her in over a year."
"Abraham!"
"What?"
"She must be terrified! How could you not write to her and let her know that you're safe?"
"She'll be fine," he assured her, but Anna was glaring at him. "Well, maybe you could help me write it? Help me apologise."
She softened and sighed. "Of course I will help you."
Abe grinned at her. Then his gaze shifted. "How about," he murmured, nuzzling her neck, "we slip away for a moment."
"Don't tempt me," she begged as he began to kiss her neck. "You know Elli will only come after us. Do you want her to catch us in the thick of it?"
"What's life without a little risk?"
Anna sighed, trying desperately to pretend that she wasn't interested, but he could tell it was a farce.
"What if I said I ached for you?" he whispered, his lips brushing her ear and letting his words tingle against her skin. "That I had to have you right now-"
Anna's breathing sped up, not matter how hard she tried to contain it. "Or what?" she teased, turning to look at him now.
Abe grinned, his hands pulling her closer. "Who knows? But are you willin' to take that risk?"
"Well, when you put it like that-" Anna turned to look at Hollywood. "We'll be back in a moment!"
Hollywood shot them both a look. "Really? Right now?"
"Guess you don't want coverin' for next time you sneak off with Heidi then, LT," called Abe.
Hollywood rolled his eyes. "Fine! Have fun... you assholes," he managed just before Elli ordered him to charge.
Anna darted upstairs, tugging Abe the entire way. He barely let the door close before he started undoing her blouse. He pulled it half off, Anna grinning as he switched and undid his belt hurriedly.
"Somebody is eager," she managed.
Abe tugged his trousers down and kicked them away, his hands sliding up her skirt. Anna shuddered with excitement as his fingers bit into her thighs.
"We gotta be quick," he reminded her, his voice low and throaty. "Besides, I've been thinkin' about you all mornin'."
"You have?"
"Mhmm," he hummed as his hand dipped into her underwear and he covered her throat in rough, wet kisses..
Anna's head fell back. "Tell me."
"Tell you?"
"What you've been thinking about," she breathed. "And don't stop touching me."
That gorgeous grin spread across his face as his thumb worked over her expertly. "I've been thinking about your thighs wrapped around my face. The way you moan and pull my hair when I kiss you down there."
