The question ate away at her the whole ride back to the mansion until she found the courage to finally ask.

"May I sleep in the basement tonight?"

A silly question of course because who in their right mind would actually want to stay down there but Elsie would rather the cool, stale basement to herself than having to share a bed with Blair. There she could at least have her own privacy and come up with a plan to ditch this place in no time.

Blair kept his back turned to her as he sat down on the edge of his bed to take off his dress shoes. Elsie waited for him to say something– anything for a long while and she believed that maybe he wouldn't respond.

"Fine but I'm coming with you, pet. I'm not letting you out of my sight again."

Elsie folded her arms. "In that case, I might as well stay here."

Blair slowly turned to look at her and raised a dark brow. "Did you really think I would let you go alone?"

"You have before, sir."

Glaring, he stood up to stalk towards her. "That was before you left. You'll just have to deal with me 24/7."

"I couldn't possibly be with you all day. Don't you have work?"

Blair threw off his tie, followed by the unbuttoning of his shirt. "I'll bring you to work with me, pet. You'll be working in other ways, on me."

Elsie stepped away from the opening of the room anticipating Blair coming towards her.

"Which reminds me of something... you never did what I asked, pet. You never got on your knees like I ordered you to but now I'm not letting you off the hook."

Feeling the rage, Elsie shouted, "No! I refuse. Kill me if you want but I won't be your slave anymore!"

Blair stood still slowly peeling off his shirt and throwing it to the floor. Calm and controlled, he demanded, "Come here. Take off your clothes and kneel before me. I will not ask you again, pet."

Elsie sneered. "I'm not afraid of you anymore. I promise you I will not bow down to you. The only reason I agreed to go with you to that banquet was to figure out a way to flee while you were talking to your "work buddies" but no you had to parade me around every freaking place where you went all night long because you didn't want me to get free."

Blair snickered, half-heartedly, gripping the waistband of his pants. "You should be proud to be mine. Do you know how many women would trade places with you? Are you outta your mind, pet? I can have any woman I want."

"Except for me," Elsie declared boldly.

"I've already had you. Multiple times I might add." Blair slid down his pants, dropping them to the floor.
