She knew she couldn't stay here. She knew he would be back for her in a matter of time but it didn't stop her from feeling relief since coming back home. Ollie left over an hour ago after dropping her off. He explained during the long car ride that Faith persuaded him to go along with her plan. She snuck him the car keys on her way to room ten and gave him instructions to distract the guards by telling them that they were needed elsewhere. "Boss's orders," he claimed to every guard that went on to question him. The fools believed Ollie and he managed to get inside the garage, pulled out the Range Rover and drove it out past the driveway without anyone suspecting anything.

In the meantime, Faith was inside the mansion helping Elsie to get up and dressed to get ready to go. Elsie didn't think Faith was serious when she said, "You're getting out here." Her clouded mind wanted to believe that was the case but luck hadn't been on Elsie's side for a long time. Faith seemed adamant and confident that her plan would work, especially once she snuck Elsie out of one of the entry doors by disguising her as a maid.

"Run! Run to the truck parked over there." Faith pointed to the black truck, discreetly hidden behind a couple of trees lining the street. "Ollie's inside waiting to take you home."

Fresh air filling her lungs revitalized her spirit, giving her the energy she needed to sprint across the lawn to the Range Rover parked on the side of the road. Freedom never felt so freeing, so incredibly refreshing to her soul. Elsie glanced over her shoulder towards Faith, nodding her head as a gesture of her gratitude. Her feet met the hot pavement with vigor and she dashed to the truck, not in favor of ever coming back to this wretched place. She didn't know what will become of either Faith or Ollie but she was thankful for their brave efforts as well as their help to get her out there.

In the hour that has passed since she's been home, Elsie packed a couple of bags. Clothes, shoes, personal items and anything that could fit were all coming with her to her sister's house in Illinois. How long would she stay with her? She figured she would until she found somewhere else to stay. Perhaps Elsie could move back into her parent's house after she comes back from her trip from Lindsey's place but the more she considered it, the more she hated the idea.

When Elsie left home at eighteen to go to an out-of -state college, she promised herself that she would never go back to stay. Lord knows she had a good childhood and a wonderful upbringing with loving, Christian parents but when she got older she still wanted her independence as a young adult. Elsie didn't regret leaving home once she left and it felt great to be able to have a place of her own. Now after all that has happened over the past week she is scared to live alone.

Well, she wasn't exactly alone. She had her feline friend, her cat Melody who purred and puffed out her fluffy black chest as she jumped onto the chair. Melody didn't seem to notice that Elsie had been gone all that time because she was acting normal. Elsie stuffed more things into her duffel bag before peering over at her phone left lying on her bed. She picked it up and unlocked the screen. Sixty-five unread messages and calls, mostly from Lindsey and her mother. Rick left a few messages and so did a few of her co-workers. Everyone seemed to be concerned as to why she was avoiding them.
