Today Bride Interview
Q. Who inspires you? Why?
A. I feel like the obvious answer is the roman god Juno! I was named after her, my business is named after her and she's the god of marriage. I love taking inspiration from her and her vibes because it feels like it adds an extra element of good luck to any wedding I plan if she is involved in some sort of way.
Q. How do you create balance in your life between work and your personal life?
A. I try not to let work leave my working hours or my office! Obviously that isn't possible sometimes but the separation helps.
Q. What underrated tool(s) are indispensable for your job?
A. My drawing tablet for sure!
Q. What's something you're really proud of? Why?
A. My business in general. I am extremely proud of myself for being able to build it from the ground up.
Q. Would you plan your own wedding?
A. Definitely not. Weddings are so stressful, I would not want to take all that on for my own wedding. To be honest I'm not even sure if I want an extravagant wedding for myself so a small service or elopement might be more in the cards for me.
Q. Does having a famous boyfriend affect your career?
A. Not really, not many people in his audience are getting married so they two don't often correlate. I do adore when my clients have kids who watch him and his friend's though. I always find it adorable.
Q. In your opinion, what is the most important personality trait/strength someone would need to work in your industry/be successful in your job?
A. Oh gosh! I think that as basic as it is I would say resiliency. People can be mean when they get stressed and vendors are nightmares to deal with at times. If you don't have the ability to bounce back when things get hard then you'll have a hard time keeping your head on in this industry.
Q. Do you have a favourite wedding you've planned?
A. Well I would usually say no but I guess I'll divulge that planning my best friend's wedding was a dream. It was so fantastic and it only brought us closer together. Of course it was only an added bonus that I met my boyfriend there.
Q. What is one piece of advice you'd give to someone starting out in your career?
A. Make sure you have a good bond with a client before taking them on. I found that the easiest weddings to plan and the ones with the highest success are the ones where I had the best bond and understanding of my client. Also have fun with it!
Q. What's one question you wish I'd asked you, and how would you have answered?
A. Okay that is a fantastic question. I think questions that seem nonsensical but tell you a lot about someone are great. Like if you won $10 million tomorrow, what would be the first thing you bought? To which I would answer that I would probably buy the vintage tea set I've had my eyes on for a while but could just never justify purchasing.
AN: 1 chapter left! Then it is Georgenotfound slowburn book time!
