Percy wasn't sure if it was his Iris Vision or if he really did have pointy elfish ears, so he rubbed his eyes just to be sure they weren't playing tricks on him.

You sure about this? Percy's brain asked.

Bro, I'm serious. His eyes replied. He looks like Legolas.

Which isn't wrong. With the green tunic robe, leather boots, luscious blonde hair, blue eyes, and pointy ears, he definitely looked like Legolas from Lord of the Rings. A more polished and realistic Legolas.

"Uh, hey." Percy greeted.

"The name's Ashtakh, Commander of the Royal Elven Archer." He said with a hand on his chest, like he's giving a formal royal greeting. "Pleasure to be of your acquaintance."

Percy took off his Iris Vision to see that the dude really looked like that, minus the bow slung over his shoulders. Percy thought it was only his ingame outfit but no, he's really wearing the outfit in real life.

"Hey Ash. Can I call you Ash? Seems way easier." Percy said.

"Sure." Ash said with a smile. "Forgive me for the intrusion, but my leader asked me to talk to some people."

"I see." Percy said. He assumed that Ash's captain had told him to go gather intel on other teams or something like that, but Percy had planned to talk with the Gaian team member anyways so this works out. "Are you competing in tomorrow's event?"

"Ah, no." Ash said. "We don't have enough members for that. I tried convincing Raul and his guild members to join, but it seems like they were adamant on staying in the village, just in case the Imperial Forces came knocking."

Percy nodded, but his brain was rattling. Raul? Guild? Village? Imperial Forces?

What was he talking about?

"So, I gotta ask. What's with the outfit?" Percy asked.

Ash looked at his clothes. "What's wrong with it?"

"It doesn't look . . . normal. No offence." Percy said.

"It's my battle attire." Ash said. "Woven from the finest of Woodland silk by the finest weavers of the Elven Kingdom. One would be a fool to go into battle without being properly equipped."

His way of talking is weird. It's like he's stuck in a medieval fantasy world. Percy could only come up with two explanations.

One, either he's just playing a character and is the biggest nerd ever complete with the cosplay and behaviour change.

Or two, there's something more to it.

"Where are you from, exactly?" Percy asked.

"The Elven Kingdom." Ash replied. "If you know where the Whitewash Peaks are, then you know where the Elven Kingdom is."

Percy had no idea what he was talking about. If Ash is roleplaying, then he's in way too deep.

"Sorry, I don't know where that is." Percy said. "Nor have I heard of it."

"Ridiculous." Ash was genuinely shocked. "You must have been born under a rock to not hear of the Elven Kingdom."

Percy shrugged. "Haven't heard of it."

"Perhaps you may have come from across the sea. Are you from foreign lands? Your clothes and language do seem peculiar."

Percy wanted to shout that he's the weird one here, but he held himself back. "I guess so."

"Well, I guess that can't be helped." Ash said. "But you have to visit the Elven Kingdom when you have the chance. I will be your personal tour guide." Ash pounded his chest proudly.
