A Long Journey Ahead

When I woke up, I was a bit confused because I didn't have the nightmare that I normally have. When my eyesight was normal, I noticed that Michael's jacket was laying on me like a blanket. I looked outside of the cave to see Michael looking up at the sky. His eyes were closed and he just let the wind blow through his hair.

"Did you have that nightmare again?" Michael asked as he looked at me.

"What did you do?" I questioned as I struggled to stand.

"I'm an angel," Michael whispered as he grabbed my hand. "One of my powers is that I can adjust people's dreams."

"Thank you," I smiled. "I haven't had a good night's rest for a long time."

"We should be on our way," Michael said as he lead me to Spirit.

He helped me onto Spirit and he flew behind me as I rode on her. He said that if I didn't want to get taken, then I would have to act like his pet. He said that he wouldn't do anything to me but I had to listen to everything that he said. I just went along with it because I didn't know what else to do.

"You have to wear this," Michael said as he handed me a black choker.

"Why?" I asked.

"It shows that you belong to someone so no one else is allowed to touch you," Michael responded.

"I'll put it on then," I sighed as I wrapped the choker around my neck.

We continued to go through the desert and I could see buildings off in the distance. Michael said that it was one of the bases for the angels that don't fight and are just civilians. There is where he lived and if George were with the angels then he would be here. If he wasn't, then he was probably with the demons.

When we got into the city, I got a lot of strange looks from so many beautiful and handsome angels. Some flirted with me as we went by and I blushed a bit, as Michael just flew in between me and the other angels. He looked at me and he had such an angry look in his eyes.

"Sorry," I whispered as I looked at my hands.

I could hear a few of the girls squeal and run away. Michael hovered next to me and Spirit until he told me to stop. We stopped outside of the tallest building in the city.

"Let's go," Michael said as he grabbed my sides and lifted me off of Spirit.

"Where are we?" I asked as I grabbed Spirit's harness.

"This is my home," Michael said as he grabbed my hand and pulled me inside.

"This is your home!?" I repeated.

"Surprised?" Michael asked as he closed the door.

"Should I have Spirit in here? It's just so clean and I don't want her to ruin anything."

"She'll be fine. I have a shower if you want to use it and you're probably hungry."

"Thank you, but you don't need to help me."

"You've pretty much signed a contract to buy my pet so I have to take care of you."

Michael placed his hand under my chin and pulled my face up. I knew that my face was turning red, so I tried to pull away, but he just grabbed my waist and pulled me in closer.

"M-Michael!" I exclaimed as I tried to pull away more.

"You're my pet," Michael snapped as his grip got tighter. "Don't call me by my actual name."

I hesitated before finally responding.

"Y-Yes, sir."

"Good."
