Daisy's POV

I didn't know that Kora was awake until I felt her hand twinge.

"Hey, sis. Can you do me a favour? Grab the icers and some real-life ammo from the ammo box please? It's somewhere back there."

"No problem." She went off. It was approaching night now, and we still had quite some distance to cover in this trip, and I just knew that I had to pass some of the time with her. To fix up the gap that I've left between us in the past years, before I knew of her existence. She had insisted that it wasn't my fault, but my inner self felt guilty of not trying to look for other family members when Jiaying died and my dad got under the T.A.H.I.T.I. program. (A/N: Project T.A.H.I.T.I. was what brought Coulson back and wiped his memories when he died under Loki's sceptre) I was the only family member that she had and I was the only one that she could rely on.

"Hey, Kora, after you're done, I want to talk."

"Is it about... Deke? I'm sorry for your loss."

"Nah, well... a bit about that. Do you know his story? I'll tell you if you want me to."

"Of course. Wait a sec." She sounded weird when she replied. Hm... I wonder why.

She closed the box with a bang and sat down right next to me.

"Shoot."

"What?"

"Not literally, of course. Just tell me his story."

"It's not special, his story, the main part is that he put more than a dozen of citrus fruits on my bed at night. Mostly lemons."

"What?" Kora was gobsmacked.

"He just put a whole crate of fruits onto my bed. That's all. I nearly laughed myself to death." I said, remembering the moments when Deke was still alive. As annoying that he can be at times, I knew that he did cheer us up a lot. I felt my face go hot at the thought of him making me laugh again.

"You know, it's not a very obvious thing, Deke and you having a 'thing'." She said sarcastically.

"Thanks for the mental support, sis." I said, slightly angry at her for not supporting and caring about my feelings.

The panel near the control panels of the Quinjet started to flash, indicating that we were there.

"See, Kora, landing's the hardest part. That's the thing that no one masters at their first try."

"But you can cheat."

"Yes. A good point, but I don't, for everyone's sake."

"Always so humble." She grumbled.

"Shush. I need to focus."

She shut up immediately, being the good sister that I have ever wished for her to be. As usual, I made no mistakes and landed the Quinjet smoothly without using my powers.

The school reminded me of my times in the multiple orphanages that I was in before I fully grew up and gave myself the alias of Skye.

"What's wrong?" Kora saw my distracted face.

"Nothing." I lied.

"Okay..." She knocked on the doors of the reception, which was quite easy to spot.

"You ready?"

"Always."

The receptionist appeared in her little window.

"How may I help you?"
