Chapter 14

Daisy's POV
I got there at the nick of time when Louise finally broke through the pod. This was one very strong child. 

"What do we do?" Simmons asked desperately. 

"i don't know. Let everyone out. And close the door behind you."

"You're lucky that we're so close to the Lighthouse."

"Why?"

"We landed there just in case you guys decide to crash and break the plane into pieces."

"We probably would, Jemma." I said. 

"I'll let them out and close the helicarrier door afterwards."

"You do that, I'll deal with her." Jemma rushed off, and I saw Fitz for a second. He gave me a shy smile, and ushered Alya off with himself. I could've sworn that he muttered 'good luck' to me before he departed. 

"Louise."

"Who are you?"

"It doesn't matter for now." I said, heart shattering into pieces. She didn't know me. She didn't even recognise me. But the priority was to keep her in control. 

"Let me out of here!"

"Nio, you're safe with us."

"You don't understand. They're the safest. And you're danger! They taught me that!"

"Who?"

"Never mind! You won't even care! Just let me go!"

"No." I said firmly, just like I would, with a stubborn teenager. 

"I'll fight my way out of this then!"

"Don't make me do this." I said, raising my arms to quake her. I didn't want to use my powers, but they were the last resort. If hand-to-hand combat didn't work, I might have to do that.

She charged towards me like a bull seeing red fabric. I prepared myself for the counter-punch, and she managed to dodge it. her punch barely missed me. That was just so close. We traded punches with each other and I realised that we were never going to end this unless someone intervenes with their powers. 

She seemed to get the cue and thought that the jet was expendable, as she started attacking me with her powers. I had trained with Kora with our powers involved before, so I actually knew how she would react and how she did it, since Kora gave me the rundown ever since I started training with her. I predicted her moves and sent a wave of my powers towards her. She couldn't react as quickly as she did before she used her powers. 

"Who are you?" She managed to pant, giving up on trying to stand. 

"You know me. I'm Daisy." Her menacing look changed to a rather confused one.

"Daisy? The hacktivist?" The confused look turned to the look that I was used to seeing in the old Louise.

"That's me. What happened?" I asked, to see if she had shaken out of her trance. 

"Just don't mind me doing something." I aimed another wave of vibrations at her, soft enough to make her collapse but not fall unconscious. 

"What happened? Oh, god, what did I do?" She looked at her knuckles, which were slightly bloody from punching me. 

"Nothing bad enough. Come on, I want you to tell me everything."

Louise's POV
Something hit me square in the chest. Suddenly, the world didn't seem so foggy after all. I looked and my stolen memories started to flood back into me. Daisy sitting me on her bed and teaching me how to hack, me talking with Jemma and Fitz and Alya, their cute little kid... oh my god, what had I gotten myself into? I slowed down, and stopping my attacks that I had somehow known how to execute, and the attack from my attacker hit me square in the face. I realised that I knew my attacker from somewhere.
