Sometimes I wish I can go back in time and change the past. Being back here has brought me back to the moments I had wished I wasn't here.
Growing up wasn't too easy for me. My childhood sucked. It was the same routine every day. Wake up, go to school, get bullied, go back home, see my mom get beat up, getting MY ass beat, going to sleep.  Same thing over and over again
Flashback
"Baby please don't cry everything is going to be fine, okay? I will make sure you're safe." Mommy ain't making sure I'm well hidden in the closet before closing it. "Okay mommy, please come back to me" I whisper.
I remember hearing yelling coming from downstairs.
"NO AURORA YOU AREN'T!! YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO LEAVE ME! YOU BELONG TO ME!" 
"Federico please,  I'm tired of this. I'm tired of you saying that you're going to change when you don't even try!  I'm tired of Valencia having to see this. The abuse" Mommy yells
I didn't expect to listen to what I heard next.
A gunshot.
I left the closet and ran downstairs looking for mommy "Where Mommy" I whisper to myself "Mommy?" 
She was laying on the ground. Is she ok? 
I approach her seeing that she's bleeding. No, please no. I don't want mommy to die.
I get on my knees to level her. I place my hand over her stomach where the wound was. 
"Valencia no! Please go back. Hide,"  Mommy whispers. She can barely talk.
I saw dad walk towards her with a knife so I stood back up and stood there ready to protect her. "Valencia move," he says 
"No, I'm not gonna let you hurt mommy again."
"VALENCIA I SAID MOVE" he yells
"NO IM GONNA PROTECT HER" I yell back
"Fine, you asked for it" he lifts the knife in his hand
I covered my face and when I tried to step back I tripped. He got me. I felt my stomach being slit open.
At that moment everything went black.
"Valencia wake up."
"Valencia we are here," 
"Valencia?" I jump back scared from the dream.
