Matt 

From the first time I heard her cries from the alleyway I knew I had to help her. I don't know what it is about her but there is something drawing me towards her.

Ever since she ran into me I haven't been able to get her out of my head, the way her heart beat sped up when Foggy accused us of flirting make me chuckle, Only if she knew.

 These were the thoughts in my mind as I sat and watched her and Foggy converse about her recent issues with a Thomas who had assaulted her in the work place.   

 She was now sitting in the office telling us how that asshole ex-boss of hers had treated her and the harassment he had issued upon her. As she got into details of the time he got physical I could feel my blood boiling at how she would ever so quietly whimper and sniffle.

"And he called me last night saying how much he despises me and how I'm fired so now I have no job, no way to pay my rent, I'm going to have to move out" She blurted out at once.

"Hey! It's okay, we will figure something out don't you worry" I say placing my hand on the table asking mentally for her to place her hand in mine, thankfully she did and I started to rub circles on the back of her hand with my thumb.

When my large calloused man hands made contact with her soft little fragile hands I knew there was something different about her from the shock that ran from my hand all across my body. I guess she felt it too as she gasped but didn't make any attempt to pull her hand from mine.

"As for losing your home, I have a massive apartment all to myself and for a blind man what use can I make of it so you can always stay with me, I have an extra room and sofas if you don't feel comfortable with that idea" I say to her continuing to run small circles onto her hand.

 Her heartbeat increasing every time I did so.

 "Oh I can't accept-" she began before I cut her off already knowing she was about to refuse my offer. Nada, I don't think so.

"Nope you're accepting my offer, I'm not having a sweet innocent woman being stuck for a place to stay and worrying about things when I have a perfect bed at my apartment that you could use" I say in an authoritative tone.

"Thankyou so much, this all means so much to me" Alexi says as she pushed her chair out from behind her still having my hand in her hold and pulling me into a hug.

She wrapped her small fragile arms around my waist snuggling her face into my torso making a chuckle vibrate from my chest as I wrapped my arms around the small of her back, holding her as if she would break into thousands of pieces if I let her go. Small sniffles were coming from her tiny form as she muttered thankyou over and over.

"Hey, it's okay now Foggy, Karen and I will look after you" I say giving her a little squeeze before letting her go sensing how she had tensed up.

Another chuckle came from me when I watched her fling herself at Foggy also wrapping him into a tight hug.

"Matt why don't you take Alexi to her old apartment to pick up some of her things?" Foggy spoke to me after she released him.

 I nodded my head linking my arm through Alexi's we walked through the office door and out into the reception area where I sensed Karen was sitting down.

"Goodnight Karen" Alexi spoke up from beside me. Hearing Karens chair pull out I let go of Alexi as they both big their fair well to each other.

"Good night Karen" I say hooking my arm into Alexis again, feeling the same shocks race up my arm like last time sending a shiver down my spine.

Walking out of the office block I grabbed my Sensor stick and began the journey to Alexi's old apartment.

Entering her apartment was some what of a pleasant shock to me, the scent of lavender and something else I couldn't quite put my finger on drifted all around me wrapping me in its embrace. It felt like Alexi had wrapped herself around me all over again.

"Do you need any help" I ask Alexi as I hear her fumbling around inside her bedroom realising i must have been standing there looking like an idiot with a grin on my face.

"Nope, I'm done now" She called out opening the door and walking across the squeaky floor boards.

"Okay let's go" She said placing a hand on my shoulder helping me up and out of her door.

Walking out onto the street Alexi caught the attention of a cab and I gave the driver my address. After a short journey to my apartment we were at my door about to enter.

"Hey Matt?" Alexi asked from beside me.

"Yeah what's wrong" I automatically say turning in her direction grabbing her hand trying to comfort her, more or less trying to comfort myself.

"I just want to say thankyou, for giving me a place to stay and getting me away from Tom" She says wrapping her arms back around me. Again I wrapped my arms in her warm embrace and rested my chin on her head.

Before I knew it Alexi pulled away and out of my embrace. I couldn't sense her anywhere? I couldn't even hear her heart beat. Panic started I set in as zoned in my hearing. But I was broken out of my trance when I felt something soft touch my cheek.

Alexi had just kissed me. Oh My God.

My sudden outburst had given me enough courage to cup her face and bring my lips onto hers. 'What are you doing Matt' but I ignored it and went with my instinct hoping Alexi would respond.

Before I knew it her lips were moving against mine.
