Bad Dreams ~ Anakin Skywalker

(Y/n) sat up in bed, leaning against the headboard. She held a book about Jedi history from her home planet of Alderaan. Anakin slowly walked into the room, changing quietly into his sleeping clothes. That just consisted of sweatpants and a black tank top. (Y/n) didn't bother looking up or anything when her boyfriend walked in, she just hummed softly as he laid down next to her. A few months ago, Anakin convinced (Y/n) to move in with him and his young twins. They had been dating for almost a year so he thought it would be nice for her to move in finally. Anakin exhaled a deep breath and hugged (Y/n)'s waist as he lay next to her.

"Did they go to sleep?" (Y/n) asked, bringing her hand down to run through Anakin's hair.

He nodded and closed his eyes. "Luke took a little longer to fall asleep but he fell asleep before I turned the light off."

(Y/n) exhaled a breath as she played with Anakin's hair. She turned the page and placed a bookmark inside of the book. (Y/n) reached over towards a nightstand that stood next to the bed, placing the book on it. Anakin squeezed her waist and pressed a small kiss to her stomach. She gasped and jumped slightly.

"Ani, it's bedtime." (Y/n) grumbled before looking back at Anakin.

Anakin groaned softly and sat up, his hold still on (Y/n)'s waist. She raised an eyebrow at him and he leaned forward kissing (Y/n) softly. She kissed back and brought her hand up to the back of Anakin's head, entangling it in his hair. Anakin pulled back and smiled softly. (Y/n) giggled and gave him a quick peck on his lips. The two moved away from each other so they could get settled into bed. (Y/n) pulled the covers up so she could slide into them and Anakin joined her. He wrapped his arm around (Y/n)'s waist. She let out a small squeak as she jumped at the coldness of Anakin's metal arm.

"Sorry, princess. I always forget about it." Anakin quickly apologized with a kiss on (Y/n)'s cheek.

She hummed and turned her body into his chest and shook her head. "It's okay Ani, it just caught me off guard."

Anakin smiled and laid his head on top of hers, inhaling a deep breath. (Y/n) wrapped her arms around his neck and closed her eyes.

"Goodnight Anakin." (Y/n) yawned softly, nuzzling her face into Anakin's neck.

Anakin looked down at her, staring at her features. He sighed softly, pushing a strand of her (h/c) hair out of her face. (Y/n) smiled softly and leaned her head into Anakin's hand. Anakin rubbed his thumb against her cheek.

"Goodnight (Y/n). Sleep well princess." Anakin whispered and held (Y/n) close as he slowly fell asleep.

The two moved around in their sleep, switching positions from cuddling to having their backs against each other's. Now (Y/n) was facing the end of the bed while Anakin hugged her from behind. Snores came out of Anakin as he muttered in his sleep and (Y/n) was just in deep sleep. But suddenly that deep sleep was interpreted by a small hand pushing on her shoulder. (Y/n)'s eyes felt heavy but she slowly opened them, trying to make out the tiny figure in the dark. She hummed as she rubbed her eyes.

"(Y/n)? Are you awake?" (Y/n) smiled softly at the voice, it was just Leia.

"Yes I am. What's going on Leia?" (Y/n) whispered as she started to make out the features of Leia.

Leia rubbed her eyes and sniffled which made (Y/n) frowned. Leia just sighed and looked down.

"I had a bad dream..can I sleep with you?" Leia said softly, her voice slightly cracking.

(Y/n) clicked her tongue and smiled. "Of course you can." She said and pushed Anakin back slightly who just muttered and turned in his sleep.

When (Y/n) made room, she held up the cover for Leia to crawl in next to her. (Y/n) hummed and ran her fingers through Leia's hair.

"We can talk about it in the morning if you want alright?" (Y/n) kissed the top of Leia's head as they moved around to make their sleeping arrangement more comfortable.

Leia nodded and pulled her legs up as she pushed her face into (Y/n)'s chest. The woman smiled as she watched Leia fall back asleep. (Y/n) leaned back into Anakin's body as she quickly fell back to sleep.

Anakin groaned as his body woke him up, blinking slowly as he did so. As his eyes adjusted to the light slowly peaking through the blinds, he furrowed his eyebrows feeling two bodies pushed into him. Anakin looked over and smiled softly seeing (Y/n) next to him. She had her arm wrapped around Leia, the two fast asleep. He let out a happy sigh and kissed (Y/n)'s head and turned to find out who the other body was. Luke was curled into a ball next to Anakin, clinging to the available space on the edge of the bed. Anakin chuckled and moved slightly to move Luke more on the bed to keep him from falling off. (Y/n) woke up and sighed softly, running her fingers through Leia's hair.

"Good morning." Anakin whispered turning his head towards (Y/n).

She smiled and looked back at him. "Good morning."

"I see we have visitors." Anakin chuckled and kissed (Y/n)'s cheek.

She giggled softly and nodded her head. "Leia woke me up. Said she had a bad dream." (Y/n) said as she yawned.

"Luke is over here, must've had a bad dream too." Anakin ran his hand over his son's head.

(Y/n) smiled closing her eyes again. Anakin looked back at her and raised an eyebrow.

"I'll just sleep until they wake up. Too tired." (Y/n) muttered before drifting back into sleep.

Anakin laughed softly and closed his eyes. He sighed contently with a smile plastered on his face. His body focused on the force that moved around him, it was finally a comforting feeling. The feeling of the three other force users being so close to him finally felt like home to him. That was something he'd been chasing for a long time but now he's finally got it.
