Festival Of Light ~ Anakin Skywalker

"(Y/n)!" My boyfriend, Anakin grabbed my hand, stopping me from walking further down the hall.

"Yes?" I laughed slightly, turning around to the Jedi.

He smiled and let go of my hand. "The Festival of Light is tonight; I was wondering if you wanted to go to it together?"

"I usually sit on the roof and watching the fireworks so if you wanna join me there, sure." I said, giggling softly as his face brightened.

He hugged me tightly.

"I'll meet you there then!" He said and ran off somewhere else.

I giggled and walked towards my room. We had been dating for some time but it was a secret relationship. Padmé and Obi-wan were the only people who knew about it. I was Padamé's handmaiden so I met Anakin when he was a child on Tatooine. When Obi-Wan and he came to help protect Padmé, we hung out a lot. And now, we're here. On Naboo and dating. He had grown a lot since I'd last saw him. Anakin was just a small boy trying his best to be cute and flirt? I guess. It was cute and it made my heart flutter. That feeling you get when a baby grabs onto your hand and smiles or something along those lines.

Anakin's POV

It was later that night and I felt really bad. I was running late to meet (Y/n). Obi-Wan had to talk to me which carried into our date time. He noticed how I wasn't paying attention and fidgeting. So he let me go. I quickly paced towards one of the rooftop entrances, hoping it was closest to (Y/n). I opened the door and the cold breeze of the night hit my face. I shivered slightly at the sudden change but scanned around to find (Y/n). A few small fireworks went off, the sudden noise made me jump and reach towards my lightsaber. We didn't tell (Y/n) but her and Padmé have had threats made against their lives. Padmé knows, but I was told not to tell (Y/n). I walked across the rooftops and my eyes landed on a small figure sitting down. I smiled brightly, sensing it was (Y/n). I ran towards her and slid smoothly next to her, slightly bumping into her side. She squealed and looked at me but giggled lightly.

"Hey, Ani." She smiled and moved closer to me.

I wrapped my arm around her waist, pulling her closer to me.

"Hi princess." I said smoothly, she rolled her eyes and kissed my cheek. "Sorry, I'm late. I had to talk to Obi-Wan."

"It's fine. At least you're still here. The fireworks should start in a few minutes."

I smiled and nuzzled her (h/c) hair.

"As long as I'm with you, I'm happy."

She giggled and looked up at the sky. I smiled as some of the fireworks started to explode. Some of them lit up (Y/n)'s face. Her eyes were full of amazement and excitement. She looked back at me and smiled brightly.

"I love you so much." She said.

I kissed her cheek.

"I love you too princess." I replied and she giggled, laying her head on my shoulder.

I laid my head on hers and watched the fireworks. I felt her fingers intertwine with mine. She let out a deep breath and her body relaxed into my hold around her. It felt perfect to be here with her. I hope this will last forever and no one messes it up for us.
