Third Person's POV

Taehyung stares up at Jungkook's bedroom ceiling adorned with the glow-in-the-dark stars Jungkook loved, his room shrouded in a silvery darkness. Rain still crashes against the windows, but it's more gentle, softer. The trails of water create wavering and distorted shadows across Taehyung's bed like black teardrops.

He and Jungkook had returned home some forty-five minutes ago, soaked and drenched and dripping wet. Taehyung brewed some tea while Jungkook ran a bath, all in silence yet somehow communicating a million words at the same time. Taehyung was still slightly shaken from his breakdown, Jungkook stayed as close to him as possible and he spoke through gentle touches.

And now Jungkook is peacefully lying on the bed, and Taehyung isn't sure if he's awake or not. Part of him hopes he isn't- Taehyung was crying again earlier, the quiet tap-tap-tapping of the raindrops falling onto his bedroom windows making him lost in deja vu again. Part of him hopes he is, so Jungkook knows he still was feeling sad and gloomy, but just decided against saying anything.

Taehyung sits up to try to get a look at the resting boy, but instead sees Bambi eyes glowing in the darkness of his room fixated on him in a wide-eyed stare. It takes a moment for either of them to react, but Jungkook is the first to do so.

"Oh" He breathes.

Taehyung dips his head down to look at his legs, the comforter covering them and pooling around his waist. He hears some shuffling from Jungkook.

"Hey, look at me" He says, his voice hopeful and comforting and the music to Taehyung's ears. The silence was finally broken.

Taehyung glances back up- Jungkook is leaning on his hands, his legs stretched out. There's a small smile on his lips and his hair is messy, messier than normal. His bedhead. His eyes are warm and stand out in the night, dripping with the urge to be close to Taehyung.

Taehyung allows himself to soften and feels his lips quirk up in the corners. He opens out his arms as a gesture for Jungkook to fill them.

Jungkook smiles widely and scrambles out of the position he was, kicking aimlessly at the duvet around his ankles, slipping a bit on it, but releases a laugh as he dives into Taehyung's embrace. The force of Jungkook flying into his arms sends him crashing back down onto the bed and knocking the air out of his lungs slightly. His arms find their way around his waist, though, as said boy studies him with his head propped up on Taehyung's chest.

"Idiot" Taehyung murmurs, letting a hand idly file through Jungkook's hair.

"Hey, don't be mean" Jungkook replies, sticking his tongue out. Taehyung snickers a bit, then moves his head to look out the window and the raindrops that trickle down it.

They stay in silence for some time, Jungkook resting his head on Taehyung's chest to try to find what he's staring at, while all Taehyung wants is the ability to try to say something, anything, to break the silence that fell upon them as he glides his hand through his locks.
