Many Secrets to Hide

Chapter 17

Luna's POV

I cant believe my baby girl is now a padawan. Now I only have my son to take care of. Luke and I are going to get our own house on Coruscant. We want to be close to our family. It's been a little less than a year since Colleen went to the temple. It's now Ben's birthday and it's almost Colleen's birthday again. She's going to be 4 and Ben is going to be 1!

I walked to Ben's room. "Good morning." I said quietly and he rolled over hiding his face in the blankets. "Come on." I said rubbing his back lightly. He rolled over onto his back and looked up at me. "Happy birthday." I said. Luke walked into the room. "Go get breakfast ready. I'll take care of him." Luke said. I nodded and walked out of the room. Ben has a small amount of teeth so he should be able to eat pancakes. I pulled his highchair up to the table and Luke set him in it. I walked back to the counter and put the pancakes on a plate then set them on the table. Luke got the rest of the plates while I got the silver wear. We ate our breakfast and Ben kept playing with his food. I grabbed his plastic baby fork and put a piece of pancake on it. "Open wide." I said. He opened his mouth and I placed the small piece of pancake in his mouth.

We got into the speeder and drove to Han and Leia's house. I knocked on the door while holding Ben and Luke was standing at my side. The door opened. "Hi." Leia said. There were two small children standing at her side. "Aunty Luna!" They both shouted and hugged me. "What about me?" Luke asked. "Uncle Luke!" They both shouted and hugged him. "You guys are so big." I said. "Jaina look at your hair!" I said. "I know isn't it long." Leia said. "It sure is." Luke said. Leia took Ben from me. I picked up Jacen and tossed him in the air. He giggled. I kissed his cheek then set him down. I did the same thing with Jaina while Luke did the same thing with Jacen.

"Benny? Do you want to open your presents?" I asked. Ben smiled. I walked over to the table and picked up the present from Luke and I and Leia picked up the one from Han, Leia, Jaina, and Jacen. Luke and I bought him a stuffed toy that looked like an Ewok. Han, Leia, Jaina, and Jacen got him a cute little outfit that was all blue. Ben played with his Ewok and we changed him into his new outfit. "Time for cake." I said. We walked to the kitchen and there was a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. It had one candle on it. I sat in a chair with Ben on my lap and everyone else sat down. They started singing "Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Ben. Happy Birthday to you." "Blow out the candle." I said. Ben blew and I blew with him. The candle went out and everyone clapped. "Good job." I said kissing Ben's cheek. "Do you want some cake?" I asked him. He tried to nod and I set him in a highchair. We all ate our cake and Luke, Ben, and I went back home.

"Did you have a good birthday?" I asked Ben as I was driving back to our house. I didn't hear anything and I looked in the back seat. Ben was out cold. "Looks like someone had a long day. Right Luke?" I asked. I looked over at Luke who was also out cold. I shook my head and laughed slightly. We arrived back at home. "Luke?" I asked shaking him lightly. He opened his eyes. "Is it morning?" He asked. "No, get out of the speeder." I said. He unbuckled and got out. I grabbed Ben and went inside. I placed him in his crib and walked back to my room. Luke was out cold on the bed. I got into bed and snuggled up beside him. He wrapped his arms around me and kissed the top of my head. I smiled and fell asleep.
